When talented computer engineer Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) finds out that Ed Dillinger (David Warner), an executive at his company, has been stealing his work, he tries to hack into the system. However, Flynn is transported into the digital world, where he has to face off against Dillinger's computerized likeness, Sark, and the imposing Master Control Program. Aided by Tron (Bruce Boxleitner) and Yori (Cindy Morgan), Flynn becomes a freedom fighter for the oppressed programs of the grid.

In terms of cinematic art and bringing things forward - calling it a landmark is an understatement. The storyline is fun and yes it hasn’t the complexities of 2001 Space Odyssey- so what? In a world of cyberspace and AI the concept is prophetic too. In terms of cinema as a visual art it is only second to Jason and the Argonauts

TRON's visual effects were truly ahead of its time, and it's surprising that they don't receive more credit, especially considering the era's burgeoning Sci-Fi scene and the phenomenon that was Star Wars. Personally, I found the plot to be both captivating and innovative, making TRON a highly recommended watch for anyone who fondly remembers the 80's or simply appreciates the art of filmmaking. Grading: B

I love this movie, I am not going to lie being an 80’s baby, growing up in the 90’s and enjoying the advancement they’ve made in special effects in the 2000’s it was incredibly difficult to get through this film. I kept waiting for the graphics to get better lol but all that being said I loved the concept of a digital world inside a computer during this time and see what that would look like came to life in this movie! I really am impressed with the way they brought this to life and the storyline was interesting. I definitely this it’s a must watch just keep you expectations of how it looks to a minimum, remember that is was done in a different time.
