My experience renting a car from Centauro at Alicante airport

On arrival to Alicante airport Centauro were easy to find, we were dealt with within 5 mins, easy access to rental car park with good signage. The car was clean and fuelled up, good signage for exit onto the main road. Drop off was really easy, polite staff waiting for you, fuel deposit was back on my credit card the same day. We booked direct and used the premium service which had full insurance cover. It was worth paying a little more for less stress.

Good quality for reasonable prices

Great rental car company. Easy to book and all-in prices and no surprices. Not the cheapest but service and no surprises have their price. Good price quality relation.

Fuel Deposit Not Refunded

After renting a car from Centauro in Mallorca this September we are still awaiting a refund of a fuel payment they took as a deposit (136 euros).

We have contacted them multiple times and have had zero response. From reading other reviews other customers have had similar experiences.

I strongly recommend people to pass on their cheap prices and choose a reputable company as this is criminal behaviour.

Renting a car through Centauro has been…

Renting a car through Centauro has been hassle-free. From start to finish everything has worked. upon delivery, the car was checked and approved. Immediately afterwards, the deposit and petrol were released. Based on our experience, I can only recommend Centauro.

After returning the car at the rental…

After returning the car at the rental office at the airport in Malaga the bus was supposed to take me to the airport terminal. I was with my friend and we had one suitcase. Bus driver said that he would put the suitcase on the bus and we answered that the suitcase was heavy and wanted to do it ourselves or help him. But he did it himself and during puting suitcase on the bus he destroyed it. The part is broken and cannot be repaired. Centauro company answered me, that they are not responsible and won't return anything for broken suitcase. OUTRAGEOUS!

We always rent a car at Centauro when we fly to Alicante. Friendly, quick and efficiënt. Never had a disappointment with Centauro and great service. Thank you!

I should have paid attention to the NEGATIVE reviews

We rented a nice car from Centauro in Palma, Mallorca and their prices were much better than other rental agencies. Because I suspected that the prices might be "too good to be true," I did extensive research on the company before booking. I did read many negative reviews, but I thought that I could have a better experience as I have rented from many agencies around the world - in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa, and I am comfortable with some risks. I was very wrong. Centauro runs a scam where there is a very minor scratch under the car, which they point out upon return of the car and then they immediately hold back 270 Euro from the deposit. They say "don't worry about it, you can make a claim for this to your insurance." There is nothing that can be done to fight this, and they have taken your money.

Don't make the mistake I made, and listen to the NEGATIVE reviews!

We had a very poor experience

We had a very poor experience. We rented a car in Palma in October. The car was fine for a while but upon getting back to it one day the battery was dead.. No lights had been left on. Cars have Electric handbrakes now so we could not move it. Discover cars agreed we had roadside assistance as our contract stated but ultimately Centauro refused to help us. They told us they were not responsible. The provider also refused to help. Finally we were forced to purchase a new car battery as the garage which came to help told us it wouldn’t recharge. We spent £200 on a new battery in a car which was not fit for purpose. Absolutely shocking as when submitting our receipt for a refund we received no response or refund.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE GOOD SERVICE.

I’m surprised by all the negative…

I’m surprised by all the negative reviews, our experience was totally hassle free from booking online and having to make changes to pick up from Alicante airport. It was quick and hassle free, the man serving me was friendly and chatty and spoke brilliant English. I wasn’t pressured to buy any additional insurance and opted to have a block on my credit card.
The car was immaculate. Drop off was super simple as we had an extremely early flight we just had to drop them in drop box at the office.
My fuel deposit and hold deposit were returned straight away.
I personally would use this company again. 10 out of 10 from me.

So easy and convenient to deal with and excellent range of cars. Easy pickup and drop off and car was upgraded free of charge which worked to our advantage. Will definitely be using Centauro again

Avoid Centauro Funchal Madeira

Centauro Funchal Madeira,

We rented a car (OCT. 2024) for 4 days everything was ok we paid the full (they also told us not to worry for anything because you have paid the full so we wont have any issues.

One week after we returned the car (they checked the car and there was no issue) they stole from our card that we had booked 120 euros without any receipt or reason, after we tried to contact them, they said that there was an issue with the kit that changes or fixes the tires. The kit was never used or even moved from where they had placed it.

Full on scammers. AVOID AT ANY COST!!

As with a number of others

As with a number of others, I too have had no response to e-mails and no answering of telephone calls. They have not refunded the fuel charge and then taken another €140.00 without any notification or contact. Only get an automated response to any correspondence. Having used them for over 30 years, it seems to me that they have a new policy to rip off as much money as they can without any explanation or paperwork.

Worst Car Rental Experience – Rude and Unprofessional Service Car Rental Experience

We have been renting cars regularly in various countries for years, but we’ve never had such a bad experience. The staff were rude and unprofessional. The two young women handling our booking behaved so poorly that my husband even considered calling the police. This was by far our worst experience with a car rental service.

Rented a car from Alicamte today.

Rented a car from Alicamte today.

It's got damages ALL over car.
Many documented. But not all.
Area 14 has big damage not reported.
When I asked assistant to update his information he refused.
He said to take pictures and argue when i leave the car back which sounds ALL wrong.
Fierce disappointed with car assigned (full of damages and hard to believe it's still being offered to folks and lack of honest service.

Centauro Pisa

Rented a car through Centauro Pisa. Everything worked out well without any problems and service was friendly. The shuttle bus takes approx. 10min from airport to the rental office.

Nice straight forward car hire service

Nice straight forward car hire service. This is my first time using Centauro and I used the online booking process and registered for fast key pick up using the key lockers. This was easy to find in the car park and soon had the key, the car was clean and new with under 10k on the clock, upon returning the car we were there early, Alicante airport has a key drop so you just park the car in the return bay and drop the key in the box. Soon had the confirmation email of the return and the fuel deposit refund processed. Will definitely use again as this was a worry free rental.

Now my go-to car hire company.

So nice to finally find a car rental company with no insurance rip offs and where an all in price means just that. Made for a really efficient pick up and drop off service too. Plus, all being on airport meant none of the hassle of transfers. I will use Centauro again every time now.

Changed Car

Everything was good exept I got a KIA Ceed instead of a VW T-Cross. I wantes a small SUV cause its a bit higher, the KIA Ceed i lower. Then KIA is a shit car but thats not Cetauros fault :)
