Horrible service and order fulfillment

I can't be the only customer to experience repeated issues with this company fulfilling and shipping orders timely and correctly.

over 75% of my orders have been canceled weeks after the fact, week long delays in fulfillment, items shipped wrong...and a severe lack of customer service communication.

Terrible Customer Service

I was hesitant to write about my bad experience but after seeing others experiencing similar issues, I thought I would share in hopes that the company will address these problems and hopefully make adjustments to their workflows/processes.
I ordered one of their most expensive paddles (amongst other things) and even paid the extra money for expedited shipping. When it arrived, it was the wrong paddle. It also had two very noticeable indentations on the lip of the paddle.
I called customer service who told me in order to get things started, I had to take pictures of the wrong paddle and email it to them. Maybe I’m just used to great customer service from other companies, but when I called, the agent I spoke to not only sounded super annoyed, but did not even acknowledge their mistake. Also, why they couldn’t just start the process and send me a return label, I have no idea. Why would I lie about receiving a paddle I did not order/want? Anyways, I sent the email and 2 business days go by and I receive no response despite being told I would receive one within 24hrs. On day 3 I decided to call again and was told the same information. I told them an email was sent and that I did not want them to correct my order but instead to just refund me for the paddle and the shipping fee. He said he “had to check if that was something they could do.” Um, what? He comes back on the line to let me know that after talking to someone, he informed me that they were looking into the matter and that they have to complete an inventory count to figure out what happened before anything else could be done. He was unsure how long that process was going to take. It was so ridiculous I was hoping it was a joke. It wasn’t. I paid for 3-day shipping to ensure I would get the paddle in time for a tournament and now I have to wait who knows how long to even just get my money back? Yeah, I don’t think so. The fact that I had to insist that they sent me a return shipping label to fix their mistake is insane.
I tracked my order and it looks like they received the product back today. Let’s see how long it takes to process my return…
I will not be purchasing from this company again and I sincerely hope others have better luck with their orders.

Shipping options are poor.

It has taken more than a week for a shipment, and there was no option to pay for quicker delivery or an estimator of how long the carrier would take (USPS). I am not sure its worth leaving the comfort of Prime.

Buyer Beware

I used to go to pickleball central for all things pickleball. I spent a lot of money. I had purchased a pickleball machine ( pickleball tutor plus) was $1500 plus. I had some issues with the machine and called several times until
A customer service representative told me that they were agents and I needed to talk to the manufacturer. The way she told me was like stop calling. I stopped buying from them. Several years past and I said ok maybe they have gotten better so I bought an expensive pickleball paddle came in and after two days use got some surface marks that looked like water stains but the paddle never got wet. Anyway sent them an email and heard back from them that the stains were not a defect but must happened in my bag or elsewhere. Got a response to try windex. I responded is windex ok for the surface? No response. I called was told to wait for Brandi. Anyway late in the day she responded that she needed closer pictures. I got the feeling that I was getting a runaround. This morning 48 hours from the first response I sent an email saying forget it I just want to return it. No response then I called then they sent me an RA

Good customer service

UPDATE: Pickleball Central has responded to my review and has been friendly and helpful. It appears that there was a phone problem, and an email they sent to me went to SPAM. They have shown that they care and seem to be sincerely, patiently trying to help me with the former situation. I appreciate that.


I sent an email to the address on their site, requesting info about a return. I waited several days then called. I got voicemail rather than a person and left a message. Several more days passed without a response. I sent a message directly through their website. Several days later - still no response. I feel obligated now to spread this warning across social media. There is no indication to me that they have any concern about my requests, and/or they have HORRIBLE customer service.

I purchased a pair of tennis shoes for…

I purchased a pair of tennis shoes for $76.70 total and they did not fit. I needed to return shoes. The return process was difficult. You have a choice of returning either store credit or your credit card if it’s, your credit card then they deduct shipping for the return if you get credit they said they don’t unfortunately my credit was for $67 $10 less than the shoe no idea what they charge me for. Being an online store and not having efficient returns means no online shopping with this place. returns are not simple and easy and that you lose money on the returns not a viable online store

Misleading picture and poor shipping packaging

The picture of the paddle on the website is misleading as it showed the older version of the Prolite Rebel Powerspin, which is what I wanted, but I received the newer version of the Prolite Rebel Powerspin which I already had. Hence, I was ended up with 2 of the same kind but of different colors.

The delivery was fast but it was not packed with any protection on the paddle surface (such as bubble wrap or box) so it might be damaged during the shipment. However, I am grateful it came in one piece.

Ordering was easy and accurate

Ordering was easy and accurate. Took a bit longer to get the order than I would have liked - even considering it came all across country. I liked and appreciated the the video showing the K-Swiss shoes I bought with the experts comments. They actually sold me. I do wish Pickelball Central offered more options in shoes though.

Just recently started learning how to…

Just recently started learning how to play Pickelball with my husband. We enjoy it immensely, but bought a 2 pack of paddles from Dick’s and they are super heavy and I didn’t like mine at all! So extremely happy I found Pickleball Central and I purchased a new graphite paddle (WAY LIGHTER) and a paddle sling bag. Which I am so very pleased with both items!! The bag can hold 4 paddles, 5 balls and even my portable speaker!!

Good resource for all things…

Good resource for all things Pickleball. Would recommend that there be some written description for the available paddles that describes whether they are more of a "fitness" or a "power" paddle. It would help the buyer and perhaps avoid returns.

Love the company and the product....but

Love the company and the product. Fast delivery and good customer service. I will say that printing your company name/logo and phone number on the face of a paddle that was supposed to be just plain white (I had purchased same product two years prior) seems inappropriate and a bit deceptive. I would not have purchased it had I known. I don't know why it bothers me but it does. Especially considering there was no mention in the product description(or if there was I missed it) and the previous purchase it was absent.

I did take a look at the product listing, and I see that the images provided do show that the paddle is mostly white with a bit of color and our branding at the bottom near the handle. We do our best to make sure product photos are as up-to-date as possible, so you can always take a look at the product photos on the listing and feel confident about the appearance of the product you'll receive.

Terrible customer service

Placed an order for a couple paddles. They were supposed to be delivered 2 to 6 days FedEx. A week and a half later still waiting, FedEx lost the shipment. We missed playing over the weekend due to this and have waited far too long for a simple shipment of a couple paddles. When refund requested so we could shop elsewhere to get a paddle to play this weekend they refused horrible customer service. Had to file dispute with credit card company to get money back, stay far away from this company.

I love the Selkirk Invikta Vsnguard midweight…

I bought the Selkirk Invikta Vanguard midweight pickleball paddle, and it was shipped to me immediately and was in perfect condition. I appreciate the courteous treatment I received from the nice lady at Pickleball Central. This is my second purchase from Pickleball Central, and I have been very pleased with my experience both times. The Invikta paddle is awesome, and because of how well it hits, three of my friends decided to buy this same paddle. The Best!

I have ordered many items from Pickleball Central and every item was mailed promptly and efficiently. The few times I've talked to staff was a pleasure, they are courteous and accommodating. I have had to return items and did so without any issues. I highly, highly recommend Pickleball Central.

Great service

I bought a racket and had several instances of defects with the product. Each time I called, I got quick response and they immediately sent out a replacement and a return label.
Each time I got the new racket in 1-3 days which was excellent. All the people were friendly and knowledgeable.

I ordered a 100 pack of Franklin X 40…

I ordered a 100 pack of Franklin X 40 outdoor pickleballs which were on sale. The cost per ball was much better than on the Franklin Pickleball original website. Shipping was free and they arrived on time and in perfect condition.

Make real video reviews, not garbage.

I purchased a paddle from here, and their prices were compatible with other stores. I did not have any problem returning the paddle after trying it out one time and getting a refund.
My issue of disappointment is not having videos that actually show some indoor and outdoor balls getting hit. Instead, almost every paddle video review shows someone yapping about their opinion of the paddle. That is totally useless. Being able to hear the sound of contact will allow players to understand if the Paddle is indeed as soft or hard as described. The paddle I purchased was listed as one to be great for spin and kitchen work and it was harder than any other paddles I had used.

Anyone who answer an email with the…

Anyone who answer an email with the adverb " unfortunately" makes me despise you immediately. They have zero customer service. I was told I would receive an 8% discount. When I placed my order, they did not apply it. I called to ask why and they said discounts are not used on their machines. That is not what I was told and I added a feature because this discount was offered. Update: they did end up offering me the discount, but it was too late. They did give me free 24 pickle balls as an apology

Getting Started

This was my wife and I's first foray into the pickleball world. The ordering and checkout process was very easy. I realize it was free shipping...When it finally shipped there were absolutely no updates to the progress of the shipment so no way to know when it might get here or where it was. It did take a long time to arrive. The two paddles and a package of 6 balls arrived in a box with no packing in it, i would have expected some paper or something to hold things from moving around. They did arrive with no damage.
