IXL is torture for children. The grading system makes absolutely no sense. A correct answer gives you 1-2 points,an incorrect one takes away 10-15 points! That isn't even done in colleges and universi... See more

I love this program
I love this program . My daughter is five and already at half way through grade one . I love the scoring system and when she sees it hit a hundred she is so excited. Yes it does make you go back more if you get it wrong but this teaches your child to pay attention better and makes her do more questions so you know she is really understanding the lesson. Best thing I have paid for online .

Frustrating and Discouraging
Talk about crushing a child's love of learning. My daughter spent a lifetime chasing her own tail, getting pushed back so far each time she got a question wrong, the frustration and disappointment in her face was awful. No other platform we've used has done this, it's just brutal. Permentnatly deleting her account as of this morning!!

Waste of money!!
Waste of money!!! They should give a 3 month trial. Sometimes when they get something right the app says it's wrong and my kids don't enjoy being on it and I've already paid for a year!

Everything wrong with IXL
First off, IXL uses AI to make their lessons. Which wouldn't be a problem. The only teensy, weensy, problem it's that AI IS WRONG 85% PRECENT OF THE TIME LIKE GOD D*MN HOW COULD THEY NOT SEE THIS COMING. LIKE OF COURSE THEY GET BAD REVEIWS!!! But that's not the only problem. NO, they go onto websites and put fake good reviews to make themselves look better. Another thing that P*sses me off is the fact schools still pay for it. And with simple calculations I can calculate how much we could be saving in the USA We spend around 998400 Us dollars (Every Year) on IXL. We could be doing a lot more stuff with that money like paying off the state USA's debt. Did you know that right now as of 5/20/2025 The current USA's debt Is $36.21 TRILLION? That is more than Elon musk's $203 billion pay (as of 2024.) All while IXL is making Billions of dollars yearly. Another thing that is wrong with IXL is how it Affects people. Sure, you may learn how to calculate decimals but at what cost. A few years back I went into depression And IXL was just pushing me deeper to the point that I was having entire panic attacks over questions. Needless to say, we need to ban IXL I set up a petition page that Will allow us to ban IXL.

I've never hated a something more than…
I've never hated a something more than this app. The emotional trauma and damage this app has put my class through is insane. My soul genuinely aches when I complete tasks. I work on IXL for 15 minutes for all my progress to be gone with just a single wrong question. For those who are considering trying this app DON"T. JUST DON"T! Kids in my class have cried from the suffering of this app. Kids broke their computer because of how much this app infuriates them.

I m Satisfied using IXL
I treid so many apps before and never got to like anything. IXL is amazing, if an answer goes wrong - it shows a detailed explanation , we experienced no problem understanding it. No unnecessary information, it explains what’s needed. We are using it mostly for practice and understanding concepts.
Best part is - no annoying sounds n videos. Like baby shark. I uninstalled most of the other apps the moment I downloaded it. I m happy, we got IXL.
