Two time the company blocked my car in…

Two time the company blocked my car in the worst time possible. It was their fault and super frustrating. If inhad a choice I would never rent a car from them,unfortunately here in the little town in Brasil it an only option possible

The worst experience I've ever had…

The worst experience I've ever had renting a car from Localiza, 7 days in Goiânia using a car that was not the one we chose, they gave us a different car than the one we chose. We had 14 fines totaling R$5,000.00 for traffic violations, almost all of which were duplicated. I contacted the Localiza rental company responsible for giving us copies of the Detran (Vehicle Department of the State of Goiás) and they denied us and made it difficult to seek cancellation of at least part of the fines. We went directly to the Detran (Vehicle Department of the State of Goiás) and there is nothing to prove the fines and there are no photos of the location of the fines. We understand that by withholding copies from us and charging us only with a copy from the company itself, they are taking away our rights as customers and citizens.

An excellent car rental company

An excellent car rental company. The service was superb including everything: The shuttle service, the service at the counter and the handover of the car. The car was in excellent condition looking like new. I can definitely recommend Localiza.

Excellent Customer Service at the Airport location

Both the ladies that assisted me were fantastic. Letiticia Salles went out of her way to assist my friend and me, and because of her outstanding customer service, we had a better vacation. We are so grateful to this company. I can highly recommend this company.
As well, the shuttle drivers are fantastic. Thank you, Localiza, for helping make my first trip to Brazil very special.

Excellent service

Excellent service. 3rd time I rent there and every time I cas very satisfied.

Once I got robbed the vehicle papers. Next day they gave me another car.

Very professionals. I definitely recommend and will rent there the next time without thinking it.

We rented a car from the airport in…

We rented a car from the airport in Salvador and were helped by Aline Oliveira and Daiane Santos. This was the third time in a week we had rented with Localiza. All three were absolutely amazing and this one was the icing on the cake. Great car, service and ease of pick up and return.
Thank you !!! Would absolutely recommend this company over any other we used while on a 30 day trip through Brazil.

I had rented car with Localiza twice

I had rented car with Localiza twice in the past 6 months and both time the customer service was good. They don't show you the car but you can inspect it before taking them. If you find imperfections on the car, like scratches or dents, you tell them right away and they tell you to take pictures. I have never had a problem and I appreciate the honesty since it looks like they know in advance how the car is given to you... but i always take a lot of pictures, just in case.

Great company- Very Fair

i rent frequently from many companies and my experience with Localiza was perfect. Shuttle at GRU arrived in just a few minutes.
Great service when i picked up the car. Car in perfect condition.
Best of all due to change in plans I returned the car in a different location and at an earlier date and Localiza gave me a very fair refund. Most rental companies rip you off when you return earlier and a different location so I was extremely pleased and will definitely rent from Localiza upon a return trip to Brazil

Fab experience from pick up to drop off

Fab experience from pick up to drop off and amazing customer service, including help in emergency when it was needed. The only caveat I’d mention - a lot of support is done through WhatsApp which is hard to navigate for a non-Portuguese speaking foreigner in Brazil. Otherwise, great experience - highly recommended

One of the better rental options in CO

I have rented from Localiza all over Colombia (Medellin, Bogota, Pereira, Santa Marta, Barranquilla) I will say that generally they have pretty good customer service. Sometimes they don’t care to show you the car so you can inspect it. I found that in Barranquilla they give you the car in a warehouse where the lighting is not great. In Santa Marta at the airport they have you collect the car in the parking garage, again poor light conditions.

I don’t think the prices are great but they are not extravagant either. I wish they took into account that when you rent a car for a week there will be at least one day where you will not be able to drive to due the license plate restrictions.

Another issue I have experienced is that the availability of larger vehicles is severely limited. I tried to rent a large SUV several times in Santa Marta but they didn’t have availability (if the large SUVs even exist).

I recommend when renting the cars to pull them out into good sunlight to inspect the cars and make a video of the entire exterior and interior of the car. Save that video until the payment has cleared and posted to your account. I have never heard of anyone being charged for some scratch or anything of that sort but its always better to play it safe and have your own record of the condition of the car.

Bad pick-up experience

Bad pick-up experience, none speaking English. lots of people in the office during the experience, ZERO clients in line and none of them let us check the car internally or present the car externally (damages? conditions? WHERE the car actually is?). Generally always check and double check the contract conditions.
