Opals are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Opals can be found by breaking Ore Deposits and Rare Ore Deposits. They are also sold by Kairo, who travels along the Mountain Road between Foothill Stable and the Maw of Death Mountain. The Kochi Dye Shop accepts Opals as an ingredient for Light Yellow Dye.

Opals are required to upgrade the following pieces of Armor at a Great Fairy Fountain:

Tears of the Kingdom



Opals can be found primarily by breaking Ore Deposits and Rare Ore Deposit. They also rarely appear by breaking Jars on the Great Sky Island. When Fused to Weapons, Opals increases their power by one. They also turn Weapons into Elemental Weapons that fire orbs of Water with every swing.
