Overview

Flight Mode is a form that both the Knight Construct and Forbidden Construct are capable of assuming.[2] This allowed them to be used as aerial Weapons by the Zonai in the distant past.[3] The Knight Construct makes use of Flight Mode to travel across Hyrule with Calamo, who sits on its back.[2] In certain Scenarios, the Knight Construct uses Flight Mode to fight Enemies.

By default, the Knight Construct is capable of only using a Light Beam attack while in Flight Mode.[4] However, it can encounter Zonai Capsules containing Zonai Devices, which appear floating in the air, after defeating Enemies, or inside destructible terrain.[5] When it picks these Capsules up, it Fuses the Device to its body.[6][7] Depending on the Device, it can either serve as an offensive attack or enhance the Knight Construct.[8]

The Knight Construct can use the following Zonai Devices to attack enemies:

The Knight Construct can use the following Zonai Devices to enhance Flight Mode:

At most, two offensive Zonai Devices can be equipped at once.[9] If the Knight Construct has more than two, it is able to switch them out using the Special Actions Menu.[8] Zonai Devices that are in use will expend the Knight Construct's Energy. Collecting multiple of the same Zonai Device will enhance it.[10] If the Knight Construct takes damage, it will drop one of its Devices.[11] However, if a Device has been enhanced, it will instead be weakened.[12]

In Two-Player Mode, Calamo is capable of throwing Acorns at Enemies.[13]
