Overview
"Helpin' Lago" is an overarching Quest that tracks the progress of Lago's Aside Quests. It appears on the Map after both the Challenge "A Veteran's Return" and the Scenario "The Crimson Omen" have been finished. In his Travel Notes, Calamo commends Lago's efforts to return to fighting, but he notices that he has lost confidence due to how long he spent away. Calamo wants to provide Lago with combat tips to help him return to his previous level of skill.[2]
In order to complete "Helpin' Lago", all of Lago's Aside Quests must be fulfilled.[3] They are as follows:

Once all of Lago's Aside Quests have been completed, his Bonus Conversation will be unlocked.[4]
While Lago is training, he is approached by Rauru, who comments on his dedication.[5] However, Lago admits to him that he lost some of his skill when he gave up his Zora Sword before, and the reason he is training is to regain his abilities.[6] Rauru is reminded that Lago served the former King of the Zora, remembering that he saw him on past visits to Lanayru.[7] Lago is honored that Rauru recognized him, but he feels he is unworthy after he failed to protect his King from the Forbidden Construct.[8] In response, Rauru informs him that everyone has suffered losses as a result of the Imprisoning War, but it is his desire to continue fighting that makes him a great Warrior.[9] Lago decides he needs to live up to Rauru's praise, and he reveals that training with friends like Calamo and the Knight Construct has allowed him to regain his edge.[10] Rauru believes he has noticed Lago's improvement in retrospect, and he claims that working like Lago has will help protect Hyrule.[11] Hearing this, Lago renews his loyalty to Rauru so they can fight for the future together.[12]
After "Helpin' Lago" has been finished, Calamo states that Lago has returned to his prior skill level by watching his fellow Warriors fighting. He states that his help was not needed by someone as seasoned as Lago.[13]
Completing "Helpin' Lago" is a requirement in order to finish the Quest "A Sketch of Lanayru".
