Biography

Hyrule Warriors

The following section is not part of the Zelda canon and should not be taken as such.

Warriors are characters that can be controlled during Scenarios. Initially, Link is the only Warrior available, though more can be acquired as rewards for completing Scenarios. Certain Warriors can be unlocked in the middle of a Scenario, though they are only made permanently available upon the Scenario's completion. For example, Impa can first be played during the Scenario "The Armies of Ruin",[2] but she is not officially unlocked as a Warrior until afterwards. Some Scenarios limit which Warriors can participate when played for the first time.

In the original version of Hyrule Warriors, there were 13 unique Warriors. In Version 1.3.0 of Hyrule Warriors, three additional Warriors were added. Downloadable Content packs released prior to Hyrule Warriors Legends added three new Warriors and two mode-exclusive Warriors. In the base game of Hyrule Warriors Legends, there were 24 Warriors, with all previous Warriors except the two mode-exclusive Warriors and five new Warriors, which were then released as a Downloadable Content pack for Hyrule Warriors. In Version 1.3.0 of Hyrule Warriors Legends and Version 1.9.0 of Hyrule Warriors, another Warrior was added. Downloadable Content packs released for both Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends, which were later included in the base-game on Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, add a further four new Warriors, bringing the total number of Warriors to 31 for Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition and to 29 for Hyrule Warriors Legends.
