I’m Jirka Borovec (Borda), a Machine Learning and Data Science researcher with a Ph.D. in Medical Imaging and several years of consulting and R&D experience. I solve real-world problems by crafting state-of-the-art algorithms and turning them into robust, community-driven Python libraries.

- Core maintainer of PyTorch Lightning: pretrain, fine-tune ANY AI model of ANY size on multiple GPUs with zero code changes
- Built and led a team to deliver a scalable video-analysis platform from prototype to production
- Head of the Lightning open-source team: coordinating feature roadmaps, release cycles and mentoring contributors across Lightning ecosystem
