Administration

To access the Administration interface, you must authenticate yourself as the administrator by clicking the Sign in button located at the top-right corner of the main page:

Enter admin for Login and the correct password in the authentication dialog.

An Admin hyperlink should appear next to the COMETE logo at the top left corner allowing you to reach the administrative functionalities:

• Import: To upload one or more metadata records.
• Harvest: To upload a collection of metadata records from an existing external repository.
• Identity Management: To browse and merge persons and organizations referred by the metadata records.
• Vocabulary Management: To edit the vocabulary definitions referred by the metadata records.
• Record Validation: To edit the metadata record validation settings and browse their validity status.
• Broken Links Management: To perform a scan of all the metadata records to find the ones that point to dead links.
• Maintenance: To perform maintenance tasks like backuping data, metamodel reinitialization, etc., and edit miscellaneous settings like notifications, etc.
