Shy Ruparel is a Senior Developer Advocate at Temporal, dedicated to empowering developer communities and creating developer joy. For over a decade, Shy has combined deep technical expertise with a passion for teaching, building on a career that includes impactful roles at Major League Hacking, Docker, Superblocks, and Contentful. His focus is on empowering developers to unlock their full potential.

Off the clock, he directs his engineering mind toward more ridiculous ends. He’s an enthusiastic builder of wonderfully silly IoT projects, is constantly getting lost in massive science fiction and fantasy novels, and frequently hosts legendary, lively dinner parties for his friends. He is also a dedicated board member of hackNY, an NYC-based nonprofit focused on building the next generation of responsible tech leaders.
