Yong-Hun Suh

Ph.D. student in Geography at the University of Georgia

My research interests revolve around the intersection of GIScience, GeoAI, remote sensing, atmospheric science, with an emphasis on high-performance computing, with an interest in scalable machine-learning approaches for environmental and spatiotemporal problems.

Research

  • Ph.D. student at the University of Georgia, working on geospatial AI and environmental/forecasting applications.
  • Previously a research intern at the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy (MPI-SP).
    • Monitored changes in North Korean mining activities.
    • Mapped changes in WASH accessibility in Rohingya refugee camps. (pre print, code)
  • Former contributor to UB Clean Air, a community-based air-quality monitoring project.
