This repository serves as an archive of the official website for Central Gauteng Masters Athletics (CGMA), a South African athletics organization for athletes aged 30 and above.
Role: Website Developer, Administrator, & Photographer Duration: November 2024 – November 2025
This project involved the full lifecycle of the CGMA website: development, content administration, maintenance, and visual media management. The primary goal was to provide current, accurate information for registered athletes, prospective members, and the wider athletics community.
Key responsibilities and improvements implemented during the term included:
- Media Management: Handled photography for the website, including capturing, editing, and optimizing images for performance.
- Enhanced Usability: Introduced senior-citizen friendly registration features and simplified the manual registration process, significantly improving accessibility and administrative efficiency.
- Data Presentation: Developed a visible interface for showcasing athletics record statistics (Total Records, Male, Female, M60+), ensuring data transparency for members.
- Content management for event listings, rules, committee details, and sponsor/affiliate information.

This website was a custom build utilizing standard web technologies, as indicated by the repository's language distribution:
