List of all Surnames used in Nepal.
This is a dataset containing the Nepali surnames in CSV format. There are two files containing the surnames in english and nepali. There are 3000+ surnames.
The nepali dataset is sorted according to Devanagari script while english dataset is sorted in alphabetical order.
Feel free to use it in your projects.
Make your creative uses of this data. Maybe you can use the data for word suggestions or as a blacklist for spell checker. Or maybe you're doing NLP in Nepali and want data set to identify names from a sentence.
Only those data sources which ensure that the person is a Nepalese citizen are used. For example, only candidates who have submitted their citizenship photocopy are allowed to give an entrance exam.
