🚀 About Me

I am an experimental physicist interested in understanding the universe through its most fundamental constituents and interactions.

My fascination with physics began in high school, when I discovered that the behaviour of the universe could be described through particles and a small set of fundamental interactions. Since then, I have pursued this interest through my studies and research, with the goal of investigating these phenomena firsthand.

I believe that one of the most valuable ways to contribute to experimental physics is to explore alternatives to state-of-the-art instruments and reconstruction techniques. For this reason, my interests lie at the intersection of:

  • 🔬 Experimental high-energy physics
  • 🧲 Particle-detector research and development
  • 🤖 Machine learning for physics
  • 🌐 Future collider experiments

I am particularly interested in the Future Circular Collider, as future experiments will require a new generation of detectors and reconstruction algorithms capable of meeting unprecedented precision and performance requirements.


🔭 Current Research

PhD in Physics — CERN & University of Padua

I am a PhD candidate at CERN and the University of Padua, working within the EP-FCC group on tracking reconstruction for the FCC-ee.

My research focuses on the use of drift chambers for high-precision charged-particle reconstruction. The reconstruction pipeline includes:

My work aims to develop and evaluate reconstruction strategies suitable for the demanding physics programme of a future electron–positron collider.

I am also a member of RD_FCC Italy, which conducts research and development on detector technologies for FCC-ee.

Research on tracking and vertex reconstruction for FCC-ee, with a particular focus on drift-chamber-based detector concepts.

M.Sc. in Physics of Data

Thesis on hadron identification with highly granular calorimeters, exploring advanced data-analysis methods for particle identification.

B.Sc. in Physics

University of Pavia

Thesis on the performance of a dual-readout calorimeter for future circular colliders.


🗣️ Science Outreach

Alongside my research, I am an active CERN guide.

I enjoy introducing visitors to CERN, explaining its experiments, and sharing how fundamental research helps us investigate the laws of nature. Science communication and public engagement are important to me, and I see outreach as an essential part of being a researcher.

I played basketball as a child and I am currently a member of the CERN Basketball Club.
