I hold a PhD in Computer Engineering and work at the intersection of quantum computing and machine learning, with a focus on power systems.
- 🧠 Quantum ML research: Hybrid Quantum Neural Networks applied to power systems. Two main threads: (1) classification problems related to smart grids, and (2) renewable energy forecasting. I'm especially interested in where quantum models offer real advantages (few-shot learning, noise robustness) versus classical baselines like XGBoost, RandomForest, ANNs.
- ⚡ HPC: Running quantum ML experiments on NERSC's Perlmutter supercomputer under a US Department of Energy allocation.
- 👁️ Computer vision: Image processing and CV pipelines.
- 🛠️ Engineering: C, C++ and Python for pretty much everything, from research code to side projects.
