Backend engineer focused on building tools that stay out of your way. I mostly work on CLI utilities, automation pipelines, and the glue code that holds infrastructure together.
Tech I reach for:
- Go — primary language, most of my projects live here
- Python — scripting, quick automation, data wrangling
- Shell — because sometimes a bash script is the right answer
- Docker / Linux — the usual suspects
What I'm working on:
Mostly internal tooling and some open-source CLI stuff. If it saves someone from writing the same script twice, it's worth building.
A few things I care about:
- Tools that do one thing well
- Clear error messages (surprisingly rare)
- Not over-engineering things
