Hey, I'm Jeff

Backend engineer focused on building tools that stay out of your way. I mostly work in Go, with some Python and shell scripting mixed in when it makes sense.

Tech Stack

  • Go (primary)
  • Python
  • Bash / shell scripting
  • Docker, Linux, basic CI/CD stuff

What I work on

Mostly CLI tools and automation scripts — things that solve a specific problem and don't require a 40-page README to use. A lot of it lives in private repos or never makes it past my local machine, but I push things here when they feel worth sharing.

Currently

  • Tinkering with a small task runner I use for local dev workflows
  • Slowly learning more about observability and structured logging in Go
