Marco Ivarsson

Founder and app developer. 20 years building software, now shipping my own cross-platform apps solo, from an off-grid corner of Portugal.

I spent four years as a backend developer at TicketSwap while it grew to millions of users, and close to a decade in consultancy before that. These days I run Simply Fluent OÜ and build my own apps end to end, with most of my energy going into AI and agentic engineering: the tooling that builds the apps faster.

What I'm building

  • Simply Fluent is a reading-first language app. Read real books in a language you are learning, with contextual translations, a personal dictionary, automatic flashcards and audio, across 45 languages. 2.0 is in beta.
  • Skimra turns plain screenshots and screen recordings into polished, device-framed visuals and video. Everything renders on device. iPhone and Android.
  • Breeze sends files to any device in the room and keeps them in sync across your own, over your local network, with no accounts and no cloud. iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows.
  • Coda is a native macOS workspace for agentic coding. Run your whole dev stack in one window and let AI agents read your logs, take screenshots and restart services through MCP.
