Self-taught dev, 10+ years in. I build apps to track and understand every corner of my life — nutrition, training, my movie shelf, even my van's diagnostics. Right tool for the job, whatever the stack.
- Training Companion (spec phase) — Multisport training + nutrition platform, and my deepest AI engineering project yet: a cached research pipeline that distills papers and practitioner knowledge into citable rules, LLM-proposed goal revisions, and a GitHub-style audit log for every change the model makes.
- Beta App — Climbing beta logger for outdoor routes. Like Mountain Project, but zoomed in on the individual. Tauri with React/TypeScript.
- Movie Tracker — My movie shelf, cataloged and searchable. Tauri with React/TypeScript.
Frontend roots in React and TypeScript — design systems, accessibility, and killing unnecessary re-renders. These days I pick the stack the project deserves and learn what I don't know: Kotlin Multiplatform for mobile, Python for AI pipelines, whatever's next.
Guiding principles: KISS, DRY, YAGNI, and mobile-first.
