New Mexico’s Democrat Governor Suspends Second Amendment Rights

The unconstitutional move by New Mexico Gov. "Malevolent" Michelle Lujan Grisham has attracted attention around the country.

Here is a post by the Gateway Pundit which includes a confrontation of the governor by a reporter. As one would expect from her, her responses are lame and ludicrous. Besides being unconstitutional, her "executive order" is targeting the wrong people, the law-abiding and not the criminals.

The article begins with:

In a controversial move, Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham declared gun violence a public health emergency in response to the shooting deaths of a thirteen-year-old girl on July 28, a five-year-old girl on August 14, and an eleven-year-old boy on September 6.

One of the most troubling aspects of this public health order is the temporary suspension of open and concealed carry laws in Bernalillo County effective immediately. This action directly infringes upon law-abiding citizens’ Constitutional right to bear arms. The Governor has carved out exceptions for licensed security guards and law enforcement officers.

She is claiming that constitutional rights "are not absolute", but she has the attitude that her dictatorial edicts are.  What's to stop her from extending her "health order" after 30 days like she did during the pandemic unless we do?

Lujan Grisham Issues Unconstitutional Executive Order Against 2nd Amendment

A killer of an eleven-year-old child is still on the loose and what does the governor of New Mexico do about it? She, by "executive order", is violating the constitutional rights of the people of Bernalillo County.

Again, Gov. "Malevolent" Michelle Lujan Grisham is acting like a Nazi dictator.

KRQE reported:

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham said she will enact a temporary ban on carrying firearms in any public space across Bernalillo County. The governor made the announcement during a news conference Friday.

Sitting alongside the Albuquerque Police Chief and Bernalillo County Sheriff. The governor says part of this new order is a 30-day suspension on open and concealed carry on public property for anyone other than law enforcement or licensed security. “I’ve warned everyone that we expect a direct challenge, probably as you’re writing this we’re getting a challenge, and that’s the way it should work. But I have to take a tough direct stand, or basically I’m just ignoring the fact that we lost an 11-year-old, another child,” said Gov. Lujan Grisham.

The order is effective as of Friday, September 8, 2023, and only applies to Bernalillo County. The governor is basing the order on the county averaging more than 1,000 violent crimes per 100,000 people, and a lot of emergency room visits for gun injuries.

As for enforcement, she admits it will be “complicated” but they’re working with New Mexico State Police and district attorneys on how it will work. The governor says anyone caught breaking the order will fall under a “civil violation” connected to her public health order.

In response:

“A child is murdered, the perpetrator is still on the loose, and what does the governor do? She throws the mayor of Albuquerque under the bus and then targets law-abiding citizens with an unconstitutional gun order. Tragically, this is what we have come to expect from an administration that refuses to take responsibility for the crime epidemic gripping our state. It is time for the governor to stop pointing fingers and admit that her soft-on-crime approach has failed and put the safety of all New Mexicans in great jeopardy.”

SENATE REPUBLICAN LEADER SEN. GREG BACA (R-BELEN)

As far as her unconstitutional executive order goes, the people of New Mexico should tell Gov. "Malevolent" Michelle Lujan to, "take your executive order and stick up your old gazoo, Michelle!"

She has no authority to suspend the constitutional rights of anyone, not even for a day. None.

"Wannabe Dictator" Producer Identified

The "fit is still hitting the shan" around media outlets over the Fox News banner Tuesday night calling His Fraudulency Joe Biden a "wannabe dictator" during a split-screen broadcast of Biden and former President Donald Trump.

The Daily Beast identified the "culprit" responsible for it.

They wrote:

The Fox News producer who authored the network’s chyron Tuesday night labeling President Joe Biden a “wannabe dictator” has parted ways with the company, two sources told The Daily Beast on Thursday.

Former Tucker Carlson Tonight managing editor Alexander McCaskill, who features prominently in a toxic work environment lawsuit by a former colleague, is no longer with the network—a topic that Carlson himself discussed in the latest episode of his Tucker on Twitter video series.

I suspect that McCaskill was going to leave Fox News anyway, so he left this "parting jesture" knowing that Fox would oust him over it. So he resigned.

Tucker Carlson: Ep. 4, WANNABE DICTATOR

Above, the banner at the center of the flap.

The "fit hit the shan" when Fox News on Tuesday broadcast a banner calling His Fraudulency Joe Biden a "Wannabe Dictator" while covering the arrest of former President Donald Trump.

This banner was only up for about 30 seconds, but Democrats hit the ceiling over it. The producer who allowed it was fired and Fox News issued an apology.

Above, what the broadcast on Fox News showed.

Tucker Carlson discusses the Wannabe Dictator flap in a new video on Tucker On Twitter

Here it is:

From the Daily Caller:
Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson took aim at President Joe Biden, whom he branded a “wannabe dictator,” in an episode of “Tucker on Twitter” released Thursday.

Carlson lambasted the president’s leadership in his fourth episode of the popular series, “Tucker on Twitter.” He called out the media and the Biden administration for punishing those who dare label the president with this title, including Fox News for reportedly firing an employee for labeling the president as a “wannabe dictator” in a chyron.

“If the banner on Fox was false, why the hysteria?” Carlson said. “Lies don’t seem to bother anyone anymore. If some cable news producer had called Joe Biden a genius or accused him of being secretly Sudanese, would anyone be yelling about it? Would Fox News have apologized for it? Probably not. But calling Joe Biden a wannabe dictator, that stung. So you’ve got to wonder, if you’re being honest with yourself, is Joe Biden a wannabe dictator?”

How Dictatorships Used Gun Control

If one wonders why Second Amendment supporters are so adamant in protecting our right to keep and bear arms, they should take a look at a new article at AmmoLand on how dictators used gun control throughout history against their citizens.

They start it with:

USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Mao Zedong once said, “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.”

Which is why he made sure no one in China could access that political power. Throughout history and well into the modern world, gun control legislation heralded the death of democracies. Usually, it preceded an attempt by the government to take full control of people’s lives. Weapon bans frequently led to human rights abuses, including massacres and sometimes outright genocide.

According to a 2022 Gallup poll, 66 percent of Americans surveyed support stricter gun laws and a sizeable minority advocate for a total gun ban. Most of these people base their opinions on recent tragic events like mass shootings and high crime rates involving firearms and refuse to believe the government would ever do anything to take away their rights.

It’s almost as if they don’t remember the lockdown. Granted, it was for the sake of public health ….in the beginning. Still, once the United States government began restricting travel and requiring the entire population to take a COVID vaccine designed in just a couple of days, as was the case with Moderna, many Americans began to view this as an abuse of government authority, especially when some who took the “life-saving” vaccine died from COVID anyway.

A government gets away with whatever its people allow. A recent attempt to ban semi-automatic firearms across the state of Illinois was met with widespread resistance. 88 percent of the state’s counties refuse to enforce the governor’s mandate, and they can because of the Second Amendment. Additionally, sheriffs work for their communities, not for the state.

Unfortunately, this has not always been the case. Many historical and current dictatorships had their start when they stripped firearms from their citizens and robbed them of their right to rebel against injustice.

“Pro-Trump” Is A Factor That will Decide if Your Bank Account is Frozen

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has made himself dictator in Canada by invoking the Emergency Act law that essentially imposes martial law on the citizenry.

Part of Trudeau's acts is to go after bank accounts of supporters of the Freedom Convoy and others who are protesting the government's imposed mandates on the people.

According to the Canadian Justice Minister, they are especially targeting Trump supporters (I kid you not).

The Gateway Pundit reported.

Justin Trudeau’s Justice Minister, David Lametti on Wednesday said that being pro-Trump is a factor that will decide if your bank account is seized or frozen under Trudeau’s Emergency Orders.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (Castro Jr.) this week invoked the Emergency Act to break up the Freedom Convoy and freeze funding for the truckers.

Trudeau is also using the Emergency Orders to freeze personal accounts of people who donated to the trucker convoy.

New Mexico Mayors Fire Back At Governor

Threats and intimidation rarely work in the long run. All they do is foster ill will between parties. Opponents become adve. Enemies become

Such is the case of Gov. "Malevolent Michelle" Lujan Grisham and the mayors of several New Mexico cities. By threatening mayors and others, Lujan Grisham is showing that she hasn't learned the "fine art of subtlety". She's taking the route of a despot.

As Jock Ewing (Jim Davis) told his son J.R. on Dallas:
"Junior, it's time you learned the art of subtlety. .. . . Because the lack of it turns competitors into enemies and enemies into fanatics."

KRQE reported:
ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Mayors from around New Mexico are striking back. This after Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham wrote an op-ed threatening to remove them from office if they don’t enforce the public health order.
“We’re trying to express to the governor and her advisors that Roswell is not Rio Rancho it’s not Raton. Each of these communities have their own separate problems and our own solutions. Work with us, don’t work against us,” said Dennis Kintigh, Mayor of Roswell.
The letter sent directly to the governor last Wednesday was written by Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull but was endorsed by another 17 other mayors from all parts of the state. Hobbs Mayor Sam Cobb says they sent the letter because they all feel something needs to be done.
“Each community has individual needs and so that’s what we were trying to do, trying to get these individual needs of our respective constituents addressed,” said Cobb.
“Difficult job she has that our community has to stop, cause people are dying with this disease but to completely close the economy, destroy hundreds if not thousands of small businesses. We should think of different ways to do that,” said Cobb.

Lujan Grisham's Attorneys Ask NM Supreme Court To Resolve Fines Issue

Japan was able to get cooperation of citizens and businesses for staying-at-home and lockdowns without the need of threats and fines. This was something that New Mexico's dictatorial shrimp Governor "Malevolent Michelle" Lujan Grisham should have taken a hard look at, but didn't.

Instead, she used threats, fines and her personal Gestapo, the New Mexico State Police, to coerce people into following her orders in lockstep.

A number of New Mexico businesses have filed suit against the governor's excessive $5,000/day fines imposed on businesses whose only crime was only to make a living and stay financially afloat.

According to the Albuquerque Journal:
SANTA FE – Attorneys for Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham are asking the state Supreme Court to resolve legal questions over the administration’s authority to issue hefty fines for violating emergency public health orders.
The request comes after about a dozen business owners and companies accused Lujan Grisham of improperly threatening businesses with daily $5,000 fines if they reopen their businesses in violation of the health orders.
The businesses filed a lawsuit – backed by the Republican Party of New Mexico – in state District Court challenging the fines.
The Supreme Court issued an order staying the lower-court proceedings and asking the plaintiffs to respond to the governor’s petition by this coming Monday. The justices, however, haven’t decided whether to take the case.
Lujan Grisham attorneys Matthew Garcia and Jonathan Guss urged the Supreme Court to step in now rather than let the lawsuit work its way through other courts, only to reach the justices eventually.
I hope the businesses are successful in their lawsuit against the governor's unconstitutional actions.

The Dictator of Santa Fe Orders Masks In Public

Well, our Fuhrer in Santa Fe has ordered that everyone wear a mask in public.

This is interesting on several levels. Some medical experts say that masks don't protect anyone from viruses and could actually be detrimental. There's one other I'll go into below the article snippet from KRQE.

They reported:
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s now against the law to not be wearing a mask in public under the governor’s new health order to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham this week acknowledged that not everyone is a fan of wearing a face mask. “We all have a social contracting responsibility to do that and I know it is not popular in a way that I wish that it was,” said the governor.
KRQE spoke with people on Saturday about the new requirement. Based on reaction, the new public health order has mixed reviews. “Where’s our freedom? We’ve had diseases before, we’ve never had to do this. You know, and now it’s like we have to do it. Are we in Russia, Cuba, or what,” said Gloria Prieto.
“I don’t think it’s a big deal, obviously some people have problem with it but for right now it’s the best we can do,” said Alex Nunnally. He owns New Mexico Bead and Fetish in Old Town. Nunnally said he’s following the governor’s orders and not letting any customers in without masks.

"Against the law"? What law? Since when does a governor's edicts become "laws"? The last time I looked, the legislature went into recess before the coronavirus "crisis" hit the fan. Ordering people around is dictatorship. Some sheeple (like Nunnally) will follow the dictates without question. What's next? Boxcars?

Ridiculous!

Los Alamos Reporter: "Our Mother Governor"

With a governor running New Mexico like a dictator, it is good that there are newspapers and columnists speaking out against Gov. "Malevolent Michelle" Lujan Grisham's actions.

The latest is an opinion piece from the Los Alamos Reporter by Tom Wright. The title: "Our Mother Governor".

It begins with:
The editorial boards of two major New Mexico newspapers have pointed out the heavy-handedness and lack of openness of our governor in dealing with her orders to shutter businesses and reopen our economy.
Diane Rowe, owner of Papas Pawn and Gun in Grants was cited and is facing a $60,000 fine for disobeying the governor’s closure order. Papas Pawn opened again in April and allowed no more than two customers in at a time and required social distancing. On April 14, she received a cease-and-desist order. After she made a public statement about her right to open, six state police arrived on April 27 and delivered a citation charging $60,000 for twelve days of unlawful operation. Heavy-handed? Yes, mom spanked her pretty good.
Aside from exercising her civil liberties, Ms. Rowe’s defense may be that a pawnshop is a financial institution for many who can’t get bank loans and perhaps exempt from the closure order.
The governor needs public cooperation, but has told us her handpicked Economic Recovery Council is not subject to the open meetings law and therefore the public has no right to know what they discuss. The New Mexico Foundation for Open Government has taken issue with this and they make a good point. All citizens of New Mexico are affected by their discussions and advice and we do have the right to know their thinking.
There's a lot more to the article and it is well worth a read and it should be passed around. Wait until you read the part about the county sheriffs and the New Mexico State Police.

Albuquerque Journal Rebukes Gov. Lujan Grisham's "Heavy-Handed" Tactics Against Papas Pawn

Nearly $2,900 has been raised (at this writing) at the Go Fund Me page for Diane Rowe of Papas Pawn & Gun in Grants, New Mexico in response to Gov. "Malevolent Michelle" Lujan Grisham's $60,000 fine for reopening.

There are views on both sides of the fence of this matter, but the Albuquerque Journal posted a rare editorial by the paper's editorial board rebuking the governor's heavy-handed (some say Gestapo) tactics against Rowe.

Here's some snippets (highlights mine):
The state’s action is obviously trying to make an example of Rowe. It’s also worth noting that it occurred within days of Rowe speaking to local news media.
But this administration’s heavy-handed approach – and singling Rowe out – could have an opposite effect than intended. Republican legislators in the state House have warned of growing civil unrest and “social chaos.” Grants, where Mayor Martin Hicks unsuccessfully tried to reopen businesses last week, has become a hot spot in the brewing revolt. Hicks was also met by State Police and a citation. Grants is the county seat of Cibola County, where Sheriff Tony Mace says deputies won’t enforce the public health orders.
The governor said during a news conference last week that “this notion that you don’t have to comply is wrong,” that the coronavirus is still spreading and dangerous, and areas near Grants have been hit hard. She’s not wrong. But how she is treating this scofflaw is. The state’s draconian response to Rowe couldn’t be clearer: “Defy us and we will crush you.”
Some will say Rowe had it coming for defying public health orders and potentially placing customers at risk. Others will say she had a constitutional right as a gun shop owner to conduct business and never should have been forced to close. But few people will say, especially given her limiting customers and social contact, that six cops and a $60,000 fine is in order.
That bullying technique is simply escalating a bitter divide between this administration and thousands of small-business owners who feel they are not being listened to and who deserve a seat at the table.
By insisting on the $60,000 fine, the governor runs the risk of turning Rowe, and any who emulate her, into Western folk heroes, Calamity Janes of the coronavirus age who fight power brokers for the rights of the little people. In this case, that’s small-business owners who fail to see any fairness in the fact they cannot open responsibly – with safety standards that surpass those being practiced by large “essential” businesses that often sell the same items.
This editorial first appeared in the Albuquerque Journal. It was written by members of the editorial board and is unsigned as it represents the opinion of the newspaper rather than the writers.

We're Shadow-Banned By Google

Shadow banning (also called stealth banning, ghost banning or comment ghosting) is the act of blocking or partially blocking a user or their content from an online community such that it will not be readily apparent to the user that they have been banned. - Wikipedia.

This morning, I was reading The Federalist blog on Google's ongoing censorship of this and other conservative websites.

Gary Julian, a longtime friend and owner of The Federalist blog, did some checking and found that Google is shadow-banning his blog.

He wrote:
With shadow banning it was all down hill from there. This last month we were down to 25,784 page views.
What the Fascists at Google do is bury Conservative websites so deep that no one will ever find them.
So I ran a Google search on one of my articles: "Blame the GOP for Immigration - not Trump."
I gave up looking after going five pages in. Using the exact title the article could not be found on Google.
(To read more, go here.)

After reading his post, I decided (this is the first time I checked, I might add) to do my own checking on my blog's status on whether it is being shadow-banned. Keep in mind, while I do post some political posts (and I am a conservative), my blog mainly focuses on travel, history and entertainment.

My searches on search engines Google and Bing found a similar scenario.

Yesterday, I posted an article, "Cuba Tourism Tanks 24%". I first checked Bing, and my article was listed in the second spot. And, what's more, I didn't type the post's title verbatim!

Next, I tried Google. And, I typed in the post's title verbatim. It was nowhere to be found, even four pages in!

So, like The Federalist blog, Google is shadow-banning Armand's Rancho Del Cielo.

UPDATE:

I just checked the Yahoo! search engine and we're in the sixth spot on the same search with them.

So, if one wants to do a search and have accurate results, use either Yahoo! or Bing, not Google.

Obama's 'Executive Orders' By Another Name

President Barack Obama is ruling like a "great dictator" and is a liar to boot!

According to USA Today:
WASHINGTON — President Obama has issued a form of executive action known as the presidential memorandum more often than any other president in history — using it to take unilateral action even as he has signed fewer executive orders.
When these two forms of directives are taken together, Obama is on track to take more high-level executive actions than any president since Harry Truman battled the "Do Nothing Congress" almost seven decades ago, according to a USA TODAY review of presidential documents.
What are presidential memorandas?
Like executive orders, presidential memoranda don't require action by Congress. They have the same force of law as executive orders and often have consequences just as far-reaching. And some of the most significant actions of the Obama presidency have come not by executive order but by presidential memoranda.
Obama has claimed he's used executive power less than other presidents. But the facts say otherwise and exposes another Obama lie:
Obama has issued 195 executive orders as of Tuesday. Published alongside them in the Federal Register are 198 presidential memoranda — all of which carry the same legal force as executive orders.
I don't hold much faith that our wimpy Congressional leaders will do anything about this.
