Truckers Staging Massive Protest In Response To Judge Engoron

The grotesque order of Judge Engoron of $364 million against former President Trump and sons Don Jr. and Eric are spurring truckers into action.

The Gateway Pundit reported:

Truckers to the rescue—again.

Truckers bravely exposed some of the worst COVID shutdowns in the world when they parked their trucks in Ottowa to protest the iron-fisted approach used against citizens by the Justin Trudeau regime. Truckers in the US showed solidarity for their Canadian neighbors and helped block shipping between the US and Canada in Detroit, Michigan. Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who was being considered for Joe Biden’s VP, quickly threatened arrest for truckers who dared to block the Ambassador Bridge.

American truckers are now reportedly threatening to stop deliveries into New York City over the grotesque $364 million judgment against President Trump and his sons Don Jr. and Eric by partisan hack Judge Engoron on Friday.

Aside from first responders, is there another profession in the United States that proudly wears patriotism on its sleeves like the American trucker?

An American trucker who goes by “Chicago Ray” had this to say in a video he shared on social media, where he explained why truckers across America are planning to stop delivering to NYC.

“I’ve been on the radio talking to drivers for the last hour and fifteen minutes, and I’ve talked to at least ten drivers going the other way. I’m heading down from South Wisconsin. And they’re [other truckers] gonna start refusing loads to New York City, starting on Monday for NYC. I talked to about three guys that I work with who texted the boss and told him they’re not going to New York City.

I don’t know how far across the country this is or how many truckers are gonna start denying loads to go to New York City, but I’ll tell you what—you f**k around and find out!”

Okay? We’re tired of you motherf**kin’ leftists f**king around with Donald Trump.

Boycotts and Other Fallout Against Colorado

The fallout over the removal of former President Donald Trump from the Colorado Primary ballot by the Colorado Supreme Court continues.

First, Republican leaders in the state led a protest and taking other action.

From the Colorado Newsline:

A Republican-led protest in Denver sought to “stand against activist judges” following the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to bar former President Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot, with attendees calling out justices for using “communist tactics to keep our great President Trump off the ballot.”

The protest, organized by Colorado Republican Party fundraising chair Darcy Schoening, drew about two dozen people to the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Center in Denver Wednesday afternoon. She and Colorado state Sen. Mark Baisley, a Sedalia Republican, addressed the group.

Schoening said the Colorado Republican Party will drop out of the primary and switch to a delegate system so Trump can be the Republican presidential candidate in the state if the U.S. Supreme Court doesn’t overturn the ruling in time. She said the party has the legal ability to drop out of the primary and that GOP Chair Dave Williams is moving in that direction, with a meeting of the state central committee coming soon to decide the matter.

Next, thousands of truckers are boycotting Colorado until Trump's name is back on the ballot:

Trudeau Regime Will Start Confiscating Protesters' Pets

The following goes beyond the pale.

From The Gateway Pundit:

Now they’re going after your dog.

On Thursday the Ottawa By-law and Regulatory Services announced they would start confiscating the pets of the Freedom Convoy protesters when their owner is arrested.

The city officials say they will keep the dogs for 8 days and then the animals “will be considered relinquished.”

Unbelievable!

“Pro-Trump” Is A Factor That will Decide if Your Bank Account is Frozen

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has made himself dictator in Canada by invoking the Emergency Act law that essentially imposes martial law on the citizenry.

Part of Trudeau's acts is to go after bank accounts of supporters of the Freedom Convoy and others who are protesting the government's imposed mandates on the people.

According to the Canadian Justice Minister, they are especially targeting Trump supporters (I kid you not).

The Gateway Pundit reported.

Justin Trudeau’s Justice Minister, David Lametti on Wednesday said that being pro-Trump is a factor that will decide if your bank account is seized or frozen under Trudeau’s Emergency Orders.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (Castro Jr.) this week invoked the Emergency Act to break up the Freedom Convoy and freeze funding for the truckers.

Trudeau is also using the Emergency Orders to freeze personal accounts of people who donated to the trucker convoy.

Christian crowdfunding platform GiveSendGo was back online Tuesday after being hacked by crazy leftists.

Biden’s Latest Irrational Moves To Shut Down 30,000 Truckers

The following hasn't happened yet, but with His Fraudulency Joe Biden, we can expect to see the unexpected.

Biden has been known for being out of touch with reality before he even showed signs of senility.

This post is by the Gateway Pundit. Hopefully, this doesn't come to pass.

The Gateway Pundit wrote:

Of course, this is not making headlines but in the next two weeks Joe Biden is planning on shutting down a significant portion of the trade pipeline with Canada.

According to government figures U.S. goods and services trade with Canada totaled an estimated $718.4 billion in 2019. Exports were $360.4 billion; imports were $358.0 billion.

Canada was the largest goods export market in 2019. Canada was the United States’ 3rd largest supplier of goods imports in 2019. U.S. goods imports from Canada totaled $319.4 billion. 70% of that trade is moved by truck.

In about a week the Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate will mean around 30,000 cross-border truckers will be forced to shut down. Starting January 15, truckers will be forced to show proof of vaccine.

If you think we have supply chain problems now, just wait and see.

Sky High Carriers's Lousy Driver

Above, the tractor involved in yesterday's incident. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

There was a time when long-haul truckers were called "knights of the road". They were conscientious drivers who obeyed traffic laws and aided other motorists.

There are still some good drivers out there, but there are also some dregs as well.

Yesterday, I was crossing the Exit 39 overpass bridge to go to the Jamestown, New Mexico Flying J travel center when I noticed a truck and trailer exiting off of westbound Interstate 40 at a faster rate of speed than what I normally see.

I had a feeling that he was not going to stop at the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp. I held back and slowed as I was about 30-40 feet from the exit. Sure enough, he ran the stop sign and was looking directly at me as he did do with a big grin. Had I not been paying attention or driving faster, we would have collided.

Above, the rear of the trailer where I got the carrier's phone number. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

I followed and got the phone number of the trucking company, Sky High Carriers, Inc. of Bakersfield, California (California, it figures). I called the number and left a voice message on what had just transpired.

After completing my business at the Flying J, I went over to the trucker section of the travel center and found the truck and trailer. I took the photos that accompany this blog post and, later, went to Sky High Carriers' website and emailed them with the detailed information (truck number, license plate number) on the truck and trailer.

So far, they have not as yet responded to me. So, I am posting this. I will follow up with them today.

I have filed a complaint with the National Consumer Complaint Database.

Why Walmart Shelves Are A Bit Bare

Above, the Gallup Walmart last spring. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Wondering why the shelves at Walmart are a bit barren of merchandise?

Well, here's why.

From KRQE:

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – Wondering why the selves at Walmarts are empty? Aside from many people rushing to stock up before the lockdown, there’s a COVID outbreak at the Los Lunas distribution center. The center, which supplies Walmarts across the state has had 13 reported cases of COVID-19 since Nov. 2 and seven rapid responses from the Health Department.

KRQE News 13 crews found long lines of semi-trucks outside the facility waiting to drop off their load. One driver said he’d been waiting since Sunday afternoon. “It is what is it. I can’t change it. I can’t rearrange it. But as soon as I get this truck empty, I’m supposed to go home,” said truck driver Justin Davis.

Businesses with four or more rapid responses in two weeks can be shut down by the state.

The hoarders aren't helping the matter any.

Back From Idaho

Last night, I got back home from Buhl, Idaho where the celebration of life gathering for Wellington "Bill" (or "Paul") Wilson took place.

As per Bill's wishes, he didn't want a funeral, but a party instead. That's what he got. He would have enjoyed this.

The celebration of life was attended by family members, friends, former co-workers (in the long-haul truck-driving industry) and fellow car show colleagues. One car show friend brought along his sound system trailer of rock 'n roll oldies music.

Many attendees told stories of Bill, which livened up the gathering.

Surprise Visit!

Above, Linda Wilson behind the wheel about to depart the Flying J. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

As I was relaxing after coming home from the Gallup Inter-Tribe Indian Ceremonial, I received a call from longtime buddy Wellington "Bill" Wilson. I've known Bill since junior high.

Above, Linda and Bill Wilson. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

He and his wife Linda (both truckers) were stopped at the Flying J for a break and asked if I were available to come down for a visit. I said I was and headed over.

The last time Bill saw me was when the paramedics were working on me. Bill said he saw sweat pouring from my head and "out of it" during my heart attack in Wells, Nevada.

We met up and sat in their living quarters of their new semi and chatted for a while. I told them what transpired after the helicopter picked me up from Bella's Restaurant and Espresso and took me to Twin Falls, Idaho.

They presented me with get-well card signed by people associated with the Wells Fun Run. That was very nice of everyone to do so. It is much appreciated.

Bill and Linda drive cross-country in their new semi along with their three dogs. It is larger than the one (and that was big as well) Bill showed me a few months ago. They were on their way to Los Angeles with a load from (if I remember right) the Washington, D.C. area. The last place I knew they were at was somewhere in Ohio.

Here's the get-well card they brought:

Thanks to all!

"Massive" Truck Driver Shortage

Above, Bill's huge Kenworth. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

A few weeks ago, my friend Bill, who I've known since junior high school, stopped by at the Flying J travel center near my home in Jamestown, New Mexico. We met up at the Denny's restaurant and had a nice visit over breakfast.

He and his wife have been truck drivers for ages. They both share in the duties in driving their big Kenworth around the country (it has an automatic transmission). They have a "sleeper cab" that is about the size of a 14 foot travel trailer with beds, dinette, bathroom (with toilet and shower) and kitchen (they just recently traded up for an even larger truck). To me, their lifestyle is like full-time RVing and getting paid for it.

It would seem to me that this would be a great job for a couple with no children or couples with grown children.

But, according to an article in the Washington Post, there is a shortage of truck drivers.

They wrote:
America has a massive shortage of truck drivers. Joyce Brenny, head of Brenny Transportation in Minnesota, increased driver pay 15 percent this year to try to attract more drivers. Many of her drivers now earn $80,000, she says, yet she still can't find enough people for the job.
About 51,000 more drivers are needed to meet the demand from companies such as Amazon and Walmart that are shipping more goods across the country, according to the American Trucking Associations. The driver shortage is already leading to delayed deliveries and higher prices for goods that Americans buy. The ATA predicts that it's likely to get worse in the coming years.
Many trucking companies are so desperate for drivers that they are offering signing bonuses and pay raises. So why don't more Americans want this job? We asked truck drivers who have been doing the job anywhere from four months to 40 years for their views.

An Educational Breakfast Meet-up

Above, Wellington "Bill" Wilson and his truck at the Flying J. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Today has to go into the "you learn something new everyday file".

This morning, an old friend from junior high school in Hawthorne, Wellington "Bill" Wilson, was passing through along Interstate 40 from Albuquerque and we met up at the Denny's in the Flying J travel center.

Above, we both enjoyed our breakfast at Denny's.

The last couple of times we've met up were during funerals, so this was a much better circumstance.

We had breakfast at the Denny's and caught up on things an reminisced about funny incidents and people from years ago.

Afterward, Bill gave me a tour of his Kenworth truck out in the truckstop section of the Flying J.

To say that I was amazed would be an understatement. I had no idea that the "sleeper cabs" of semi-trucks have become so elaborate over the years. They have gone from just a little bed with (if they're lucky) a hot plate to a virtual home (actually, it looks like a RV inside).

Above, Bill in front of the sleeping area. The dinette converts to a bed and a
bunk bed can be lowered from above (with a motor). Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Bill's truck living area includes two beds, dinette, bathroom (with toilet and shower facilities), refrigerator/freezer, convection stove, microwave, counter space (a lot more than my RV has) and plenty of cabinets/cupboards. He told me that one trucker he knows has a longer living area with a washer and dryer.

Above, the microwave oven and refrigerator/freezer. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Nothing like traveling around in a RV-like vehicle and getting paid for it. If this kind of arrangement were available 30-40 years ago, I could have been easily enticed into getting into trucking. On top of that, his truck has an automatic transmission! I had no idea that semis came with automatics, so this was new to me. I felt like I was asking questions like Huell Howser.

Above, the sink and counter space. A convection stove is stored in a cabinet below when not in use. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

He was going to retire, but he was given an offer that include a new and larger truck that he just couldn't pass up. It will be built and ready in October.

Above, Bill outside and next to the living module (to use NASA terminology). Photo by Armand Vaquer.

After the tour, Bill headed off west to his next delivery and I headed up the hill to home. I have to admit that I got some interesting education today.
