Gun Control Is Racist

Besides being a stupid and ineffective policy (or policies) and much of it deemed unconsititional, gun control policies appear to be racist.

This is according to an article by John Stossel in Creators Syndicate.

It begins with:

Media scream, "Too many people have guns!"

Second Amendment activist Maj Toure says more people should carry guns.

"Everybody should be walking around," he says in my new video, "like, 'Oh man, I left my gun in the house. Let me go back and get it.' It should be as normal as a cellphone."

Activists and some politicians want gun control.

Toure says, "All gun control is racist!"

All?

"It was literally started to stop Black people from having the means to defend themselves."

CMT Facing Jason Aldean Backlash

Country Music Television apparently has gone "woke" in pulling Jason Aldean's music video of "Try That In A Small Town".

Leftists and liberals were enraged by the song, calling it "racist".

Fox News reported:

Fans lashed out at Country Music Television, after it pulled singer Jason Aldean's "Try That in a Small Town" music video this week following accusations it was racist.

Aldean had enraged liberal activists with the new music video, which has anti-crime, pro-law enforcement themes and tells criminals that their behavior won't be tolerated in rural America. The music video plays footage from left-wing riots and smash-and-grab robberies. Activists accused the song of being racist and promoting violence.

"Yeah, ya think you're tough? Well, try that in a small town, see how far ya make it down the road. Around here, we take care of our own, you cross that line, it won't take long for you to find out, I recommend you don't," Aldean sings in the video.

CMT confirmed it pulled the music video off the air Monday, angering Aldean fans and free speech advocates.

The only "offense" the song committed was just telling the truth. The video is at top for your viewing and listening pleasure.

NY Trying To Invoke Racist Gun Laws On Native Americans

Native Americans tend to vote for Democrats. I don't know why, because much of the misery that they suffer (such as poor or no utilities in reservations) have from the hands of Democrats who don't seem to want to solve problems.

A story from the Daily Caller should wake up Native Americans on how racist the Democrats are when applying racist gun laws. This one comes from New York state.

The story begins with:

New York is invoking colonial-era bans on selling guns to Native Americans to defend the constitutionality of its “good moral character” standard for obtaining a concealed carry license.

This requirement, part of the Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA) that Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul signed in July, is set to take effect in September. The Supreme Court struck down a provision of the bill in June that required concealed carry permit applicants to demonstrate a need for self-protection.

Gun Owners of America (GOA), a gun rights lobbying group, sued New York State Police Superintendent Kevin P. Bruen in August, seeking to block the legislation. In response to the lawsuit, Bruen’s lawyers argued in a court filing that the CCIA’s “good moral character” standard is deeply rooted in Anglo-American legal tradition and should therefore be upheld by the court.

“From the early days of English settlement in America, the colonies sought to prevent Native American tribes from acquiring firearms, passing laws forbidding the sale and trading of arms to Indigenous people,” the filing reads.

Elvis "Not Racist" Says Ex-Wife Priscilla

Above, Elvis with Junior Parker (left) and Bobby Blue Bland (right) in a display at Sun Studio in Memphis. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Revisionist "historians" today try to paint Elvis Presley as racist. But according to his ex-wife Priscilla, that couldn't be further from the truth. She should know.

She recently appeared on Piers Morgan's show and set the record straight.

According to Insider:

Elvis Presley's ex-wife Priscilla appeared on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" on Tuesday to discuss the iconic singer's legacy.

Asked how Elvis would fare in "this weird cancel culture," the 77-year-old businesswoman said Elvis was "not prejudiced in any way" and "not racist in any way."

"He's never been a racist. Elvis had friends, Black friends, friends from all over," she said. "He loved their music. He loved their style. He loved being around, you know, Black musicians."

Priscilla cited his friendships with two Black musicians, Fats Domino and Sammy Davis Jr., who she said would "always come into the dressing room" when Elvis performed in Las Vegas.

"He loved, loved being around Blacks and being around anyone actually," she said.

Tacos? Jill Biden Criticized Over Latino Americans Remark

His Fraudulency Joe Biden isn't the only member of the Biden family who can't speak without thinking first.

Her Fraudulency Jill Biden (I refuse to call her First Lady as I refuse to refer to her husband as president) made a major gaffe on Monday, for which she apologized.

The Guardian reported:

Jill Biden has apologized for remarks in a speech to the civil rights and advocacy organization UnidosUS in which she likened the diversity of Latino Americans to breakfast tacos.

Speaking in Texas on Monday, the first lady said: “The diversity of this community – as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength.”

Amid condemnation of the statement and her mispronunciation of the word “bodegas”, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists said: “We are not tacos. Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by various diasporas, cultures and food traditions. Do not reduce us to stereotypes.”

Biden’s press secretary, Michael LaRosa, responded: “The first lady apologizes that her words conveyed anything but pure admiration and love for the Latino community.”

Republicans, however, were quick to seize on the remarks.

The Texas governor, Greg Abbott, tweeted: “Breakfast tacos? This is why Texas Hispanics are turning away from the Democratic party.”

Spice Company's 'Republicans Are Racist' Promotion Backfires Spectacularly

Looney Left Report

I've seen many insane things done or said by the radical left wing, but the following takes the cake (well, at least for the end of January).

The Blaze reported:

A Milwaukee-based spice company is pleading with customers to buy gift cards after a recent promotion declaring that "Republicans are racist" backfired spectacularly.

Penzey's Spices used Martin Luther King Jr. Day to peddle their goods and besmirch Republicans. The spice company held a "Republicans are Racist Weekend" sale, which they promised to "cheese off racists." The spice company also offered Black Lives Matter stickers with every purchase during MLK weekend.

The company's owner sent an email to their customers that stated, "Remember how Republicans did all they could to derail that success by trying to drown out BLM’s message with shouts of all lives matter, and blue lives matter, and lying about the leaders of BLM being Marxists and Communists?"

In a 2015 interview, Black Lives Matter Global Network co-founder Patrisse Cullors openly admitted that she and fellow BLM co-founder Alicia Garza are "trained Marxists."

With idiots like Penzey's Spices around spreading lies, small wonder that this country has become so polarized.

Dr. Seuss Books Fall Victim To Cancel Culture

Six books by Dr. Seuss (the late Theodore Geisel) will cease publication for alleged "racist" and "hurtful" images according to Dr. Seuss Enterprises.

CNN reported:

(CNN) - Six Dr. Seuss books will no longer be published because they "portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong," the business that preserves the author's legacy said.

The titles are:

  • "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street"
  • "If I Ran the Zoo"
  • "McElligot's Pool"
  • "On Beyond Zebra!"
  • "Scrambled Eggs Super!"
  • "The Cat's Quizzer"

In a statement, Dr. Seuss Enterprises said it made the decision after consulting educators and reviewing its catalog.

"Consulting educators"?! That explains it. Most likely, the "educators" they consulted were leftist candyasses who are engaged in the indoctrination of students into radical liberal dogma and are in lockstep with the "cancel culture" that's going on now.

Be "Less White" and Drink Coca-Cola?

So Coca-Cola wants their employee to be "less white", eh?

Let's see. Should their employees go to a tropical isle and get deep dark tans?  At company expense, of course!

This is just more evidence that the world, well, at least the United States, has gone completely bonkers.

From Fox News:

Coca-Cola raised some eyebrows this week for promoting an online training seminar that urged employees to “try to be less white” in order to combat racial discrimination.

Slides from the training seminar shared online this week featured tips on how to tone down whiteness.

The tips to “be less white” included: “be less arrogant, be less certain, be less defensive, be more humble, listen, believe, break with apathy,” and “break with white solidarity.”

Another slide tells viewers that in order to confront racism, they must understand “what it means to be white, challenging what it means to be racist.”

White people in the United States and other western nations, are “socialized to feel that they are inherently superior because they are white,” another slide reads.

It continued: “Research shows that by age 3 to 4, children understand that it is better to be white.”

The seminar has predictably provide divisive, with some praising the company and others threatening to boycott it.

Attorney and Center for American Liberty founder Harmeet Dhillon, who shared the slides on her Twitter, said the slides seemed “like blatant racial discrimination.”

Not surprisingly, this is causing a backlash.

Dr. King and The Duke

Above, John Wayne by Norman Rockwell.

The radical left Democrats have a campaign to tear down statues, monument and even portaits (in the U.S. Capitol) of people they don't like over alleged racism.

The latest is a move by Orange County, California Democrats to rename John Wayne Airport over remarks made in a Playboy interview in 1971.

From Fox News:
California Democrats in Orange County are demanding that the county’s John Wayne Airport be renamed and all likenesses of Wayne be removed from the airport, over “racist and bigoted statements” made by the American icon decades ago.

“The Democratic Party of Orange County condemns John Wayne’s racist and bigoted statements, and calls for John Waynes’ name and likeness to be removed from the Orange County airport, and calls on the OC Board of Supervisors to restore its original name: Orange County Airport,” the resolution, passed Friday, says.
The resolution, first reported by the Los Angeles Times, calls on the Orange County Board of Supervisors to reverse the 1979 decision to rename it after Duke, and cites remarks he made in a 1971 interview with Playboy.
“I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people,” he said in that interview nearly 50 years ago.
The way I see the comments, he was saying that black people should not be just handed positions of leadership and authority if they aren't educated enough to shoulder responsibility. His general emphasis was not skin color, it was education.

The Wayne Family answered the critics back in February when the controversial interview was posted in social media.

From Fox News:
John Wayne’s family is speaking out after the late actor’s 1971 interview with Playboy resurfaced on social media, resulting in outrage and a fiery debate.
“We hope America remembers John Wayne as we do: a devoted family man, great friend and cherished actor on the big screen, as well as for his continuing work to find a cure for cancer through the John Wayne Cancer Foundation and the John Wayne Cancer Institute,” the John Wayne Family wrote in a statement to Fox News.

“It’s unfair to judge someone on something that was written that he said nearly 50 years ago when the person is no longer here to respond,” the statement continued. “Regardless of color, ethnicity or sexual preference, [our] father taught us to treat all people the same, with respect.”
Wayne was also asked about educator/activist Angela Davis and discrimination. He responded, “With a lot of blacks, there’s quite a bit of resentment along with their dissent, and possibly rightfully so. But we can’t all of a sudden get down on our knees and turn everything over to the leadership of the blacks. I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people.”
Lewis then shot back at Wayne, asking if the actor was equipped to judge “which blacks are irresponsible and which of their leaders inexperienced.” Wayne responded, “It’s not judgment. The academic community has developed certain tests that determine whether the blacks are sufficiently equipped scholastically. But some blacks have tried to force the issue and enter college when they haven’t passed the tests and don’t have the requisite background.”
“I don’t know why people insist that blacks have been forbidden their right to go to school,” continued Wayne. “They were allowed in public schools wherever I’ve been. Even if they don’t have the proper credentials for college, there are courses to help them become eligible. But if they aren’t academically ready for the step, I don’t think they should be allowed in. Otherwise, the academic society is brought down to the lowest common denominator.
“… There has to be a standard. I don’t feel guilty about the fact that five or 10 generations ago these people were slaves. Now, I’m not condoning slavery. It’s just a fact of life, like the kid who gets infantile paralysis and has to wear braces so he can’t play football with the rest of us. I will say this, though: I think any black who can compete with a white today can get a better break than a white man. I wish they’d tell me where in the world they have it better than right here in America.”
Wayne was echoing what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said about black and education, although, admittedly, not so artfully articulated.

King said:
“It seems to me that education has a two-fold function to perform in the life of man and in society: the one is utility and the other is culture. Education must enable a man to become more efficient, to achieve with increasing facility the legitimate goals of his life.”

“At this point, I often wonder whether or not education is fulfilling its purpose. A great majority of the so-called educated people do not think logically and scientifically. Even the press, the classroom, the platform, and the pulpit in many instances do not give us objective and unbiased truths. To save man from the morass of propaganda, in my opinion, is one of the chief aims of education. Education must enable one to sift and weigh evidence, to discern the true from the false, the real from the unreal, and the facts from the fiction.”
“But I believe as we struggle with these problems, we’ve got to struggle with them with a method that can be militant but at the same time does not destroy life or property. And so our slogan must not be ‘Burn, baby, burn.’ It must be, ‘Build, baby, build.’ ‘Organize, baby, organize.’ Yes, our slogan must be ‘Learn, baby, learn,’ so that we can earn, baby, earn.”

Now It's Cream of Wheat

Cream of Wheat, Original Stove Top, 10 Minutes, 28 Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4)

Following Aunt Jemima, Uncle Ben and (can you believe this?) Mrs. Butterworth, the wussies who are in charge of Cream of Wheat cereal are "reviewing" the black chef on their packaging.

USA Today reported:
The packaging on boxes of Cream of Wheat may soon change.
Cream of Wheat’s parent company, B&G Foods, said it is “initiating an immediate review” of the brand’s packaging.
The announcement follows decisions by the parent companies of Aunt Jemima, Uncle Ben’s and Mrs. Butterworth's to overhaul their imaging in the wake of renewed calls for racial equality.
"We understand there are concerns regarding the Chef image, and we are committed to evaluating our packaging and will proactively take steps to ensure that we and our brands do not inadvertently contribute to systemic racism,” B&G Foods said in a news release. “B&G Foods unequivocally stands against prejudice and injustice of any kind.”

I don't see the chef as offensive. But there are wackos out there who will find any excuse for find anything offensive. And, I always thought Mrs. Butterworth is white.

Goodbye, Aunt Jemima; Uncle Ben Next?

Above, an earlier version of Aunt Jemima packaging.

First, it was Land o Lakes butter removing the beautiful Indian maiden from its packaging. Now, one (maybe two) other brands are doing the same

A brand that dates over 130 years is being "retired".

Fox News reported:
Aunt Jemima is being rebranded with a new name and image, parent company Quaker Oats has announced, acknowledging that the face of the brand was “based on a racial stereotype.”

It was announced on Wednesday morning that the line of pancake mix, syrup, and other breakfast foods will be debut a new look as part of Quaker’s push to “to make progress toward racial equality.”
“We recognize Aunt Jemima’s origins are based on a racial stereotype," said Kristin Kroepfl, vice president and chief marketing officer of Quaker Foods North America, in a statement shared with Fox News. “As we work to make progress toward racial equality through several initiatives, we also must take a hard look at our portfolio of brands and ensure they reflect our values and meet our consumers’ expectations."

And, following suit by Quaker Foods' action (from Adweek):
Just hours after PepsiCo acknowledged its Aunt Jemima brand is based on a racial stereotype and it will change the name and packaging, rice brand Uncle Ben’s said it plans to follow suit by “evolving the visual brand identity.”
In an email, Sara Schulte, external communications manager for Uncle Ben’s parent company Mars Food North America, said, “We have indeed been considering a more substantive change and have begun that work even before news of Aunt Jemima.”
She did not specify what that “substantive change” will look like or what the timing will be, saying only, “We are evaluating all possibilities.”
Soon, offended bald guys with earrings will be gunning for Mr. Clean!

Now The Mob Left Is Going After The Duke!

The Looney Left Report

First they went after books they don't like from bygone days. Then they went after authors they don't like (like Laura Ingalls Wilder). Then they went after statues of confederates. Now liberals are targeting the Duke.

According to Fox News:
The first shots may have been fired in a war against "The Duke."
A debate is now underway over whether a Southern California airport should bear the name of screen legend John Wayne, who died nearly 40 years ago at age 72. The discussion stems from the recent social-media uproar that followed the resurfacing of a 1971 Playboy interview in which Wayne made remarks that critics described as racist and homophobic.
John Wayne Airport is located in Orange County, where Wayne lived for most of his adult life. The airport, previously named Orange County Airport, has been the subject of debate in the past, but mostly over concerns that the Wayne name fails to convey the airstrip's location in Santa Ana.
The latest calls for changing the name stem from Wayne's remarks, made at age 63, that he believed in “white supremacy,” at least until "irresponsible" black people became more educated, and that Native Americans were “selfishly” trying to keep their land.
But Wayne’s defenders say it’s unfair to judge the actor on comments from nearly 50 years ago when he is no longer alive to respond to the criticism.
“Removing his name from Orange County’s airport now only validates what many Americans are coming to believe: You can’t say anything anymore, darn it, without being discovered and punished by the mob,” Madeline Fry wrote in the Washington Examiner.

Gee, how about dishonoring John Lennon for calling Mick Jagger's stage act "fag dancing" while we're at it. By "today's standards" isn't that "homophobic"?

Roscoe Lee Browne co-starred with Wayne in 1971's The Cowboys. He described working with Wayne as "delightful" and said he had "never worked with anyone who was more professional or generous of spirit."

According to IMDb:
Despite their political and social opinion differences, John Wayne and Roscoe Lee Browne shared a love of poetry. They sometimes quoted their favorite verses between takes.

The Racist Ralph Northam Saga

Above, Gov. Ralph Northam's 1984 yearbook page.

First, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam admitted that he was one of those pictured in blackface or a Klansman in his 1984 Eastern Virginia Medical School yearbook page and apologized, but refuses to resign.

Then, he tried to weasel out by claiming that he was not one of those costumed figures and refuses to resign.

He even had the gall, during his last election, to accuse his GOP opponent of racism! It is especially cheeky of him since his opponent was a black Republican.

Gee, if this yearbook page were revealed during that campaign, he would have lost bigtime! The Republican Party in Virginia really dropped the ball by missing this! It was right under their noses!

It is impossible for people to really suspend disbelief in the case of Governor Ralph Northam. He's been aware of those images on his page for 35 years but is "not sure" that he is one of those in the racist photos? If I were so pictured in a high school or college yearbook, I'd sure as hell would remember! He must think that people are really that stupid! In the scheme of things, 1984 was not that long ago!

Admittedly, it is amusing to see the Democrats engage in their "self-cannibalism" of one of their own in demanding that Northam resign. Even Hillary Clinton chimed in and said this has gone on much "too long" and Northam should resign.

Yes, he should resign. His effectiveness as a governor has been destroyed.

When Maxine Waters Called George H. W. Bush A "Racist"

The Looney Left Report

This week, as the memorial services for former President George H. W. Bush took place, the Democrats have been practically canonizing him. But that's only a ruse to dig at President Trump.

We should take a "stroll down Memory Lane" and that's what the American Spectator did. They have an article on when Rep. Maxine "Mad Max" Waters called George H. W. Bush a "racist".

They wrote:
"Rep. Waters Labels Bush ‘a Racist,’ Endorses Clinton.”
That was the headline in the July 9, 1992 edition of the Los Angeles Times. “Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) Wednesday branded President Bush ‘a racist’ who has ‘polarized the races in this country,’” reported the article. “Waters said she has pledged to support Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign partly because the soon-to-be-Democratic nominee ‘is much better on the race question’ than Bush.”
Waters blurted out that charge not after a few drinks at the Mayflower or a bad cup of coffee that put her in a disagreeable mood. She leveled it at the National Press Club during a two-hour panel discussion on African-American attitudes on politics. She said she wanted to say “very clearly that I believe George Bush is a racist. I believe he’s a racist for many, many reasons.”
The Times reporter noted that Waters’ gem was met with “wide-eyed stares” from the audience. Still, she was undeterred, adding emphatically that Bush “is a mean-spirited man who has no care or concern about what happens to the African-American community in this country. I truly believe that.”
I mention this now, obviously, because liberals are upholding the late George H. W. Bush as a paragon of decency and civility in politics and the presidency, which he indeed was. But in truth, they didn’t treat Bush with decency or civility, nor his son, George W. Bush, nor his predecessor, Ronald Reagan, nor Richard Nixon or any of a long line of Republicans. They have long engaged in vicious name-calling and character assaults toward Republican opponents.
Waters didn't need "a few drinks" or "a bad cup of coffee" to put her into a disagreeable mood. She's always disagreeable. She's a nasty person, right down to the bone 24/7.
