Capitol Police Officer Appears To Have Lied In Court

It appears that a Capitol police officer lied under oath (he wouldn't do that, would he?) that led to the conviction of pro-Trump Oath Keepers protesters on January 6, 2021.

The Blaze has some video captures showing the officer was not where he testified he was at.

The Blaze starts their article with:

U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Georgia) has released video images from Jan. 6, 2021, showing the movements of a Capitol Police officer who Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker said appears to have given false testimony regarding his whereabouts that day during a key encounter with members of the Oath Keepers.

Loudermilk, chairman of the Committee on House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight, said in a statement to Baker that he released the still frames — from closed-circuit TV video with timestamps — of U.S. Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus because "an allegation of a Capitol Police officer lying under oath is very serious and must be fully investigated."

Thank goodness there's video evidence proving perjury on Officer Lazarus's part.

Two Countries Ban Gal Gadot's Newest Film

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot's newest film, Death On The Nile, is being banned by two Middle Eastern countries due to Gadot's past service in the Israeli military. 

The Blaze reported:

Two countries have banned "Death on the Nile," the latest film from Hollywood actress Gal Gadot over her previous service in the Israeli military.

Lebanon and Kuwait, both Muslim majority Middle East countries, cited Gadot's military service as the reason they were banning the movie from being shown.

Gadot once served in the Israel Defense Forces, as do most Israeli citizens since the country has a 2-year military mandate.

Her latest film is being released in the rest of the Middle East this weekend.

Biden Administration To Send Crack Pipes To Drug Addicts

Has there ever been a time when insanity is the order of the day by so-called "national leaders" or by the media (well, they're one and the same these days)?

The latest is from The Blaze. The Biden Administration is planning to send, get this, crack pipes to drug addicts! 

Yep, it is our tax dollars at work!

According to The Blaze:

The Biden administration will soon fund the distribution of crack pipes to drug addicts in underserved communities for the purpose of "advancing racial equity," the Washington Free Beacon reported.

What are the details?

The baffling measure is included in the Department of Health and Human Services' fiscal year 2022 Harm Reduction Program Grant program. In the document, the crack pipe plan is described as the dispersion of federal government funds for the slightly more anodyne "smoking kits/supplies."

But a spokesman for the department recently told the Washington Free Beacon that the grant money will do exactly what the headline says it will do.

The distributed kits will provide safer pipes for drug addicts to use when they smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, or "any illicit substance." The spokesman reportedly explained that the supplied pipes will reduce users' chances of becoming infected. Glass pipes often used by addicts can sometimes lead to infection through cuts and sores.

One has to wonder what drugs the Biden Administration are on to come up with such a lunatic plan.

Spice Company's 'Republicans Are Racist' Promotion Backfires Spectacularly

I've seen many insane things done or said by the radical left wing, but the following takes the cake (well, at least for the end of January).

A Milwaukee-based spice company is pleading with customers to buy gift cards after a recent promotion declaring that "Republicans are racist" backfired spectacularly.

Penzey's Spices used Martin Luther King Jr. Day to peddle their goods and besmirch Republicans. The spice company held a "Republicans are Racist Weekend" sale, which they promised to "cheese off racists." The spice company also offered Black Lives Matter stickers with every purchase during MLK weekend.

The company's owner sent an email to their customers that stated, "Remember how Republicans did all they could to derail that success by trying to drown out BLM’s message with shouts of all lives matter, and blue lives matter, and lying about the leaders of BLM being Marxists and Communists?"

In a 2015 interview, Black Lives Matter Global Network co-founder Patrisse Cullors openly admitted that she and fellow BLM co-founder Alicia Garza are "trained Marxists."

With idiots like Penzey's Spices around spreading lies, small wonder that this country has become so polarized.

5.5 Million Americans Became First-Time Gun Owners in 2021

With big city Democrats wanting to defund the police, lax prosecutions and rampant crime, it is no wonder that more Americans are buying guns. That is also playing a big part in the current shortage of ammunition.

2021 continued the firearm buying frenzy.

According to The Blaze:

The firearm buying frenzy continued into 2021 as nearly 5.5 million Americans became first-time gun owners, reports the Washington Examiner. Notably, sales expanded among women, black, Asian, and Hispanic Americans.

The president of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), Joe Bartozzi, said, “The surveys revealed that new gun owners are continuing to embrace their Second Amendment rights, and nearly half of them are seeking out professional training.”

He continued, “These trends show that not only is there still a strong interest in gun ownership but also that these new gun owners are interested in learning more about the safe and responsible handling, use, and storage of firearms.”

Biden's Done It Again

Joe Biden can't seem to come up with original thoughts in his speeches and has to resort to plagiarizing others. 

He's been accused of plagiarizing a Canadian liberal politician who passed on in 2011.

The Blaze reported:

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has been accused of plagiarizing a part of his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention. 

Similar allegations arose during his failed 1988 campaign for the White House. 

What are the details? 

Several Canadians took to Twitter calling foul during the broadcast of Biden's speech Thursday night, accusing Biden of lifting the words of departed liberal Canadian politician Jack Layton, who passed away in 2011. 

CBS News Washington correspondent Alexander Panetta noted, "A number of Canadians are struck by the similar parting words of Biden's speech to the final words of Jack Layton's farewell letter before his death." 

The reporter provided a side-by-side of the excerpts. 

In Biden's speech, he said, "For love is more powerful than hate. Hope is more powerful than fear. Light is more powerful than dark. This is our moment. This is our mission." 

Layton's quote read, "My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world."  

Canadian media picked up on it, too. Left-leaning outlet HuffPost Canada declared, "Joe Biden's DNC speech sounded a lot like a Jack Layton quote," while conservative publication The Post Millennial noted that "left-wing Canadian activists" were making the plagiarism accusation. Both outlets compiled examples of tweets from users claiming Biden stole Layton's words.

Gun Ban Fails In Virginia Senate

Second Amendment constitutional rights were upheld in a stunning victory in Virginia.

The Blaze reported:

Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam's all-in push to ban the sale of assault weapons was rejected in the state's Senate after moderate Democrats joined Republican colleagues to sink the initiative Monday.

Cheers erupted in the committee room packed with gun supporters as senators voted to put the bill on hold for a year so that the state's crime commission could study the issue, the Associated Press reported. 

Four Democrats decided to vote with Republicans on the issue, rejecting legislation that aimed to outlaw new sales of some semiautomatic firearms, such as the AR-15 rifle, and require current owners of such firearms to register with the government within the year. The bill would also have criminalized the possession of magazines that hold more than 12 rounds.

Electoral College, A Protection Against Tyranny

We're now in a new year and the Democrats now have control over the U.S. House of Representatives.

Although we're in a new year, the Democrats haven't changed. They are loony as ever.

And now, the first Looney Left Report for 2019.

On the House Democrats' first day in the majority, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn) introduced a constitutional amendment that would abolish Electoral College. 

"Americans expect and deserve the winner of the popular vote to win office," said Cohen. "More than a century ago, we amended our Constitution to provide for the direct election of U.S. Senators. It is past time to directly elect our President and Vice President."

This is a terrible idea. The Electoral College was devised by the founders as a protection for smaller states from the tyranny of bigger states in presidential elections.

Anyway, eliminating the electoral college is the road to tyranny — which is why Democrats and the media desperately want it eliminated. 

Trust me, the last place any free person wants to live is in a country where 51 percent of the population can strip the rights away from the 49 percent. 

Imagine a country where the only way to get elected president is to appeal to the left-wing extremists who live in large population centers, which is exactly what would happen. In fact this would be the only way to win the presidency because it would be the easiest — the cheapest as far as ad buys, getting out the vote, and that most precious commodity of all: time. Campaigns are going to go to where the most votes are. 

Because of the careful way it was set up, the electoral college helps to protect that most important right of all — the right of the minority. By “minority,” I don’t mean racial minority, but those states with minority populations. To cobble together the 270 electoral votes required to win the presidency, candidates are forced to appeal to a broad coalition of states, including states with small populations (Maine, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Iowa, Nevada, etc.)

The Electoral College is what's preventing Commiefornia and New York from deciding on who is put into the White House. They were only reason Hillary Clinton received more votes than Donald Trump in 2016.

Baby Diaper Changes: Parents Should Ask Babies' Permission First

Parents should ask their babies’ permission before changing their diapers — in order to advance a “culture of consent” in the home, a sexuality and relationships expert said. 

Deanne Carson told Australia’s ABC News in an interview that a parent could say something along the lines of, “I’m going to change your nappy [i.e., diaper] now, is that OK?” 

She continued, “Of course a baby is not going to respond, ‘Yes, mum, that’s awesome, I’d love to have my nappy changed.’ But if you leave a space and wait for body language and wait to make eye contact, then you’re letting that child know that their response matters.”

Well, I guess that purple hair color she sports has to tell you something.

Bowing to mob pressure, the number of companies severing ties to the National Rifle Association (NRA) is growing. 

According to The Blaze:

What companies have severed ties with the NRA? 

The list is long and continues to grow: 

• Delta Airlines

• United Airlines

• Enterprise Holdings, which is the parent company of Enterprise rent-a-car, Alamo and National

• Symantec, a cybersecurity company

• SimpliSafe, a home-monitoring company

• First National Bank of Omaha, which issued the NRA Visa credit card

• MetLife

• Wyndam Hotel Group

• Avis

• Hertz

• Best Western hotel group 

• REI Co-op (REI is severing ties with companies with brands who do business with the NRA. See this.)

What can over five million NRA members do?

Here's what The Blaze suggests:

While the companies have been quick to sever ties with the NRA, they have not provided NRA members with detailed reasons why. The companies have simply caved to fact-free mob outrage. 

And that’s exactly why NRA members should boycott the companies boycotting or severing ties with the NRA. 

The NRA had absolutely nothing to do with the tragic shooting at MSD, yet the media have given the biggest platforms to people who somehow put responsibility for the shooting on the NRA. For the average American who doesn’t follow the news or isn’t familiar with the NRA, the media has built a perception that the NRA is actually culpable for the shooting. 

Again, this couldn’t be farther from the truth. 

The NRA has millions of law-abiding members who lawfully and faithfully exercise their Second Amendment rights. The NRA is interested in not only spreading firearm enthusiasm, but the organization works to teach and train Americans to be highly competent in firearm usage and safety. Nothing the organization does could ever be confused for training mass killers or encouraging illegal firearm use in any way, shape or form. 

To be sure, most NRA members carry guns so they can protect innocent people from the dangers of deranged people like the Florida shooter. They, and the organization they fund with annual dues, do the opposite of encourage mass shooters. 

Until these companies, many of which had long-standing relationships with the NRA, offer NRA members reasons for the severed ties, the NRA’s millions of members should take their business elsewhere — to companies with backbone.

Leftist Loons Want To Ban "Best Friends"

Each time I hear a story about leftist/liberal lunacy, they surprise me with something new and even more wacko.

The latest comes from The Blaze. It is an article on some British and American schools want to ban "best friends". I kid you not!

They wrote:

Some American and European educators believe the time has come to eliminate the concept of “best friends” from schools in an effort to encourage kids to be more “inclusive.” 

Although Prince George’s school only “discourages” students from having best friends, WCBS-TV in New York reports that some schools are considering banning “best friends,” with the enthusiastic support of education experts. 

Clinical psychologist Dr. Barbara Greenberg told WCBS that the idea is catching on in schools. According to Greenberg, “There has been a movement in some American schools and European schools to ban the phrase ‘best friend,’ … The idea of banning the phrase ‘best friends’ is a very intriguing social experiment.”

I have to wonder where these leftist loons who are so-called "experts" and psychologists got their degrees or licenses to practice. Probably from a box of Cracker Jacks.

This is one excellent reason why liberals and leftists should never be elected to school boards or even allowed in education.

Ever since elementary school, I've always felt that many educators were either assholes or just plain nuts. This is more evidence of that.

Residents Explode on Superintendent, Centinela Valley High School Board

Well, I see nothing has changed back in the Centinela Valley Union High School District. Cronyism, greed, malfeasance, corruption, machine politics and you-name-it still permeates the district. The CVUHSD includes Hawthorne, Lennox and Lawndale. From what's happening now, the district could include the City of Bell.

I used to live in the Hawthorne area (I attended Hawthorne High School) and once ran for the CVUSHD School Board in 1977. If I hadn't run, the election would have been cancelled.

According to The Blaze:

A school superintendent in California got an earful earlier this week when parents were given the chance during an emergency meeting to question his supposedly excessive salary. 

“You should all step down and walk away from this! This is ridiculous! This is nuts, this is crazy! I give my wife everything! I do anything I can for my wife! I’m sleeping with her! Who are you sleeping with?” one man shouted during the meeting. 

Jose Fernandez, who oversees the Centinela Valley Union High School District in Lawndale, Calif., reportedly earned $663,000 in 2013, according to KCAL-TV. 

His district includes only three high schools with a combined total of 6,500 students. 

The district also reportedly floated Fernandez a loan of more than $900,000 at 2 percent interest over 40 years. The loan was granted at a time when the superintendent had already declared bankruptcy.

It appears that the school district didn't learn anything from the corruption scandal of the City of Bell. $663k for a school superintendent?! Plus a 2% loan for $900k?!

EPA At War With Energy Producers: "Crucify Them"

The Obama Administration has another scandal to face.

This time it's the Environmental Protection Agency's policy of intimidating energy producers.

CNS News.com posted:

Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.) has launched an investigation into the Obama-EPA's apparent "crucify them" and “incite fear” strategies targeted at American energy producers. This investigation will look into EPA's actions towards domestic energy production specifically in light of the agency's recent efforts relating to hydraulic fracturing. 

Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) will also investigate any connection of these tactics to a video of a top EPA official saying the EPA’s “philosophy” is to “crucify” and “make examples” of oil and gas companies - just as the Romans crucified random citizens in areas they conquered to ensure obedience. 

The EPA’s agenda, Inhofe said, is to “incite fear” in the public with unsubstantiated claims and “intimidate” oil and gas companies with threats of unjustified fines and penalties – then, quietly backtrack once the public’s perception has been jaded against oil and natural gas.

This is an example of tyranny through government agency.  It is good this crap is now coming out before the November election.  It will only make it easier for people to vote Obama out of office.

Sleep Train Derailed By Limbaugh

A number of wobbly advertisers suspended or dropped their advertising on the Rush Limbaugh Show due to the flap over Limbaugh's comments on Sandra Fluke. Limbaugh issued an apology last Saturday.

One advertiser, Sleep Train, tried to reinstate their ads but were told to take a hike by Limbaugh.

The Blaze reported today:

Rush Limbaugh has rejected an advertiser’s apparent attempt to reunite with his show after the company initially dropped its ads from the program following his remarks about contraception advocate Sandra Fluke.

The company, Sleep Train, calls itself “the No. 1 Bedding Specialist on the West Coast, and most recognized mattress retailer in the region.”

In an email to Sleep Train President Dale Carlsen (obtained by The Blaze), a representative of the show says that Limbaugh personally considered the company’s request, but denied it considering its public comments following the controversy.

“Thank you for your requests last week and this week to restart your voiced endorsement in local markets of The Rush Limbaugh Show,” the email begins. “Rush received your requests personally.”

“Unfortunately, your public comments were not well received by our audience, and did not accurately portray either Rush Limbaugh’s character or the intent of his remarks. Thus, we regret to inform you that Rush will be unable to endorse Sleep Train in the future.

“Rush appreciates your long friendship and your past support, and we wish you good luck in the future.”

On advertisers who dropped their advertising on his show, Limbaugh said on Monday:

It’s a business decision, and it’s theirs alone to make. They‘ve decided that they don’t want you anymore or your business.

Sleep Train is now finding that "actions have consequences."
