{Life is Beautiful birthday card}

Being a cardmaker it's only right and proper that my children get hand crafted cards for their birthdays.

This year I asked my daughter what she wanted on it, her request was cherry blossoms, pink and green.

Here is the result... so I had to add some extra bling and glitz.

I used the gorgeous tree image from Life is Beautiful, and the flowers from Framed for You.  The small flowers were punched out with the Confetti Flowers Border Punch

{One Sheet Wonder stamping diagonally and what I made from them}

Hi everyone, this post sharing the results of a YouTube live video which can be found here... be warned it's very long. However if you would like to hear the explanations of my thought process when stamping, you may find it useful.

Here is a faster version

Here are the results of the stamping session

Colours used: Poppy Parade, Balmy Blue, Rococco Rose, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sea Foam

Colours used: Melon Mambo, Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sea Foam

Colours used: Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue , Seaside Spray

Over the following few days I cut up the stamped sheets and created these cards.

I then did two more YouTube lives where I showed how I cut up the sheet and matting layers.  Again they're both quite long videos, but worth watching if you would like the details.

Here is how I cut up this sheet

and here are the matting layers with lots of rectangles cut out of them.. yes I'm that frugal!

And here are the cards

Well, if you're reached the end of this blog post you deserve a medal!
Thank you for sticking with me, I hope it's inspired you to get your stamps out and play!

Don't forget, if you would like a copy of the new Autumn/Winter catalogue you can drop me a line and I'll pop one in the post to you.

{Christmas Stampathon August non Christmas COLOUR challenge}

Welcome to the...

8th Round of the
Christmas Stampathon 2019

Be inspired every month with a Christmas Challenge on the 25th of the month.

The challenge this month is to make at least 4 projects using a "Non Christmas" colour scheme.
Typically I associate the red/green/gold scheme with Chistmas and occasionally the pale blues and silvers.  It was really fun to try out a diffrent colour scheme.

When you have made your creation, please photograph it and add it to the Facebook group here.

I am joined by the 3 other demonstrators from around the world

Denise Kepple Garrison 'Lady Bug Stampin'  from America

Ellen Woodbridge  and Rosalie Desmond from Australia

These are the cards I made

Here is a video tutorial of how I made them

I really enjoyed using this new stamp set, it will be available to customers at the beginning of September.  It's called Snow Front, and it pairs beautifully with Water Front

{One Sheet Wonder - Lovely Lattice and Incredible Like You}

Happy Wednesday!  It comes round so quickly... can you tell I love using this technique?

I love combining stamps that you may not often think of putting together.

This time I choose a Saleabration set called Lovely Lattice, it has some very detailed floral images that our perfect for colouring in.  However... I sometimes like to experiment and see if I can faux colour in with other stamps, I choose to pair it with another floral stamp set called Incredible Like You, here are the results and process.

These are the colours I used:
Lemon Lime Twist
Mint Macaron
Melon Mambo
Flirty Flamingo,

The new Spring/Summer catalogue is available now and can be viewed here

We are also in the wonderful season of Saleabration.

{Pink Diamond Wedding Card}

Hi everyone!
It feels like ages since I blogged.
Life has been busy in my house, my eldest son had his GCSE results recently and I am pleased to announce he did well and has been able to study the subjects he wanted at A level.  My 3rd son has just started High School and the school has revamped their uniform to a smart blazer and tie, so the obligatory first day at school picture just has to be shared!

A friend requested a special card for a couple celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary, she wanted a Bible verse (sorry not a Stampin' Up! stamp), and requested pink and sparkly.

I cut out all the elements and assembled it during a live broadcast, I've taken the video and edited it to give you an idea of the process, enjoy!

{Baby card with Balloon Builders and Garden in Bloom}

Been playing with some stamps to create this baby card.  I've used a retired sentiment stamp, I don't often do that as I like to show of products that are available currently.  However the reality is that sometimes just one particular one fits the bill for a card.

Here is a pink version I made after filming the video.

{Floral and Stripes card}

Hello!
It's been wonderfully warm and sunny weather here in Mid-Wales this past week, lovely to be able to open the doors and windows and get some fresh air through the house, not so keen on those pesky flies though!  I've been a little distracted with gardening, we enlisted the help of two able bodied chaps to help cut hedges, mend gates and generally hack the garden into a good shape.  I managed to tackle a Magnolia tree that was being smothered with Ivy, it also has some Honeysuckle growing up it which I have somewhat released from the evil clutches of the Ivy!  I do love Ivy leaves, but have come to realise how they can overwhelm and damage trees and buildings.

Anyway, I did have a go making this card and have filmed a video for your inspiration and enjoyment.
