To be fair, it felt like a scam, not sure if they give a different treatment to those who paid the subscription or those still in the trial period, but my experience was, no replies whatsoever, and the only ones I got, were to say, please subscribe to our website as well... My honest opinion, stay out of it as it is mainly a redirecting platform to another pay wall

Everyone who subscribes with us has the same benefits and conditions, no distinction is made between subscription holders in any form. Responses are forwarded directly to the broker.
Huurwoningen has purely a 'bulletin board function' and has no further involvement in whether or not agreements are made between House-hunters and Landlords. Brokers may also have their own eligibility requirements. Since we are aware of this, we have submitted the free trial period partly for this reason. This way you don't necessarily have to run into double costs.
Our customer service is ready to help you further, and we have therefore sent you a contact request.
The site itself is awesome. However, we ran into a terrible scam a few months ago. Nevertheless, we found a real apartment to rent this time around.

huurwoningen.nl is a fradulent website with mainly fake appartment ads. Most of the appartment ads are fake, non existing appartments. No one ever replies to your sent messages, or you will just recieve some generic replies from fake ad posters. Beware! My advice: Hard pass any rental appartments directory website that doesn't show appartment owners phone number and requires paid subscription. (They have mostly fake appartment listings where nobody answers your attempts to contact landowner via their messaging platform). This is how they keep you in a loop to keep paying subscription for a useless service.

In all honesty, we don't understand where this experience is coming from. All ads are offered by verified estate agents or verified private landlords. With a premium account, you can easily contact the landlord and most also show their phone number.

Absolut scam and unprofessional this platform. Don't make a subscription. No one ever answers to any ad, I only got answers when I followed the ads to other FOR FREE pages like Funa or Paraius. In addition, huurwoningen states that they give you the money back after 14 days if you are not satisfied, which they did not do because I had a test account once before. This was not mentioned when I did the subscription. Absolut cancerous and unprofessisonal.

You can unsubscribe at any time. Huurwoningen.nl uses a subscription model, after the 14 days you can unsubscribe free of charge, but if you keep the subscription, this is of course your own choice.
Our goal is to make the search for a new rental property as smooth as possible. Estate agents sometimes receive hundreds of responses, unfortunately they cannot always respond to you. Our tip is to call the estate agent or private landlord.

I also experienced this too after my cancellation, they do not accept that I no longer wish to use their services. After reversing the automatic payment, they only threaten with collection. You might end up resubscribing I think they prey on people’s desperation to get a house and is quite unfortunate!and they are not the only ones doing this!

The data available on non Premium account doesnt give useful information and repetitive. The real estate shown is outdated and is already available on other websites. Being a naive and desparate for housing, I signed for a trial period of their premium account. The premium account is also NOT USEFUL. It starts with a trial period and they dint notify when the trial period ends. I realised that they have already continued my account and cancelled it within a few days. They charged me for the whole month even when I cancelled my subscription after a few days. They did not respond to any of my emails when I requested fair charges. They sent me another email imposing a fine of 40 euros in addition to 30 euro for the subscription that I cancelled within a few days. As an expat, I did pay to keep my record clean. BUT it enrages me that they didnt respond when I needed it but I received an email as soon as I paid up. So in short, UNFAIR charges, DESPICABLE customer support service, ENRAGING and REGRETFUL overall

Huurwoningen.nl is an online platform for private landlords and real estate agents. Real estate agents use our platform to bring their property listings to the attention of as many potential renters as possible. Due to the large reach of Huurwoningen.nl, they can effectively showcase their listings.
To ensure that all properties listed on Huurwoningen.nl are genuinely available, we conduct rigorous checks. However, as the responsibility for keeping property listings up-to-date also lies with the real estate agents and landlords, we don't have full control over this. Nevertheless, we are the only housing platform in the Netherlands that goes to great lengths to keep our listings current. We monitor listings from real estate agents and private landlords daily and also index listings from across the country.
New members are entitled to a 14-day trial period during which they can respond to as many advertisements as they wish. It is your responsibility to cancel the subscription within the trial period if you find a property or decide it does not meet your needs. If you do not cancel, the subscription will continue monthly until you choose to unsubscribe. The subscription fee is charged for a 30-day period, not on a daily basis. This information is provided in the confirmation of your registration and in the user terms you agreed to.
We only employ a collection agency after we have made every effort to remind you of the outstanding invoice. It seems that there was no contact from your side after the payment failed.
Of course, we are curious if there has been any communication and if we can still assist you. Therefore, we have sent you a request to get in touch with us.
They claim that when responding to an apartment you get in contact with the landlord which is not true!!!!! You pay 30 euros a month to see what? The apartments that REBO, Vesteda, MVGM etc already have (AND FOR FREEEEEE) ? Just go on those sites and pass Huurwoningen! Once you select an apartment it sends you to the main site that has posted the apartment. You talk with no landlord directly. Luckily I did the 14 days free trial and didn't give these legal scammers a penny. Just disgusting!

It is looks like the other people who reviewed this website are speaking about other company or they are all Dutch. Yes there are offers but not clue about how to access them, no online viewing, like international you should stay at hotel till you are able to find an accommodation. No personal support. I paid for my daughter the "premium" account, nothing happened in reality. After 1 months I decided to cancel because she decided to study in UK. Surprisingly they asked me to pay 19 euro more to cancel the subscription.... they sent me 3 threatening email to go to legal. Shame of you. For me to pay for services I didn't receive is a scam

So difficult to unsubscribe from these websites emails. You don't have the option 'Unsubscribe' in their emails and I couldn't easily find that in the website which is frustrating.
All of the postings are already taken, then why is it still posted if someone is already renting it. Kamernet is a better option. You get the service for what you paid for.

We're sorry to hear that properties were already rented out. Due to the current shortage in the housing market, estate agents receive a lot of responses and properties are let quickly. To ensure that all properties on Huurwoningen are actually available, we carry out strict checks. As part of the responsibility for keeping the housing offer up to date lies with the estate agents and landlords, we do not have full control over this.

Unfortunately, I have only briefly checked the platform as I was not able to send messages without subscribing to the website. As such, I forgot all about it and checked out different websites. Then, I recieve 2 emails stating that the payment was not completed and if I don't pay a subscription that I never had in the first place, I would have to pay another 40€. I sent an email and got no response, also I tried calling the number and after hearing a brief monologue in a language I don't speak, they hung up on me.

I was able to find few interesting offers, however, no Landlord replied to my messages and it just seemed pointless. When I messaged support about that, they didn't want to refund my money. Dont use this website, dont waste your money. Reach out directly to agencies and use Prarius website. Good luck

I was worried that Huurwoningen might be a fake website, as the prices are too low to make sense. As I went to log on, I decided not to put my bank details in and pay the 30 euros (as I had absolutely no doubt in my mind that the free trial would not be free). Looking at the comments on Trustpilot confirms it (Look at some of the 5-star comments for a good laugh - they have some lovely wholesome bot reviews)
