|For over a decade I has been working on policy issues from outside and alongside the government. Now I would like to bring that expertise and dedication to the inside, to be a champion for those issues I have fought for my whole career. I hope to put my passion for public service and my extensive policy experience to work in the Colorado State Legislature.
I have always deeply believed in public service and that government should be a place where we come together to solve real problems. That is why I am running, and I am looking forward to earning your support.
- Criminal Justice Reform - My stance on criminal justice reform is rooted in a profound commitment to community safety and well-being. This approach seeks to enhance accountability and transparency and promote a more equitable system, breaking the cycle of crime by offering essential services for rehabilitation and fresh starts.
- Child Welfare - I am passionately committed to improving Colorado’s child welfare system, and my campaign is driven by firsthand experience as a foster and adoptive parent, personally witnessing the urgent need for reform.
- Gun Violence Prevention - To address this crisis, I believe in supporting community-driven prevention initiatives that curb youth violence, pursuing avenues to reduce firearm accessibility and banning assault weapons.
USAID Administrator Samantha Powers - Samantha Powers has done extraordinary work both representing the United States at the United Nations and her work in International Development. She has been a role model of mine for years, dating back to my work in HIV prevention abroad.
We also have two children with disabilities. It was a slow process in determining their diagnoses and even slower to get the right supports in place. We learned how to access services in a school setting and to get the right supports as parents to ensure each kid's needs are being met. We are so proud of our kids who overcome daily challenges and are such kind and wonderful little people.
Michael Bennet for how he has represented all Coloradans, from Denver to the Western Slope and how he has prided himself on being accessible and transparent in his decision making processes.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
