Quasar and Space Ghost

Quasar was one of those Marvel heroes that I expected to eventually break our and become a heavy hitter, but he never quite did.  Still, I generally enjoyed his appearances.  He did seem like he might have fit better in the DCU rather than Marvel - maybe it was his very Silver Age style costume.

Quasar Vs. Sinestro

I'm guessing it will be a while before Quasar shows up in the MCU.  He's a c-lister but I always liked him.  I guess if the Guardians of the Galaxy return for a fourth film with a revamped roster, he could fit in there.

The Legion of Super-Heroes and Quasar

One thing I liked about Star Trek: The Next Generation was that they had a whole episode that explained why so many of the "alien" races they met on the show still had many humanoid features.  Something about an ancient race seeding the cosmos, it made sense within the context of the show.  I'm trying to remember whether Marvel or DC have done something similar.  I Look at a team like The Legion of Super-Heroes with a roster from all over the galaxy, yet most can still pass for human - was there ever an in-story reason given for that phenomenon?

Quasar and Firestorm

Who would have thought that the character on this cover most likely to show up in a big budget movie first would be Fin Fang Foom?  At least he has been heavily rumored to be showing up in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.  Hopefully we will see a teaser or trailer before too long and see if there is any confirmation of Foom's involvement.

Firestorm previously faced off against Fin Gang Foom in STF #1447...

Starman and Quasar

I liked the Will Payton Starman, even if that purple and yellow outfit was hard on the eyes (the switch later on to a red and black version of that design was a huge improvement).  Roger Stern is one of the most dependable superhero writers and his Starman series was no exception.  I thought it was very cool that this version was later connected to the Prince Gavyn Starman by writer James Robinson, cementing the legacy aspect of the heroic name.

Batman and Quasar

Quasar was a character that was giving me a very hard time, as I just couldn't find an image that would work. finally I came upon a cover of his that was done by the very talented Mike Mignola and my my flashed to a Mignola Batman cover that I thought would do the trick. I had to tweak it a little, extending the cover on the left side and moving a few bats around.

I never followed Quasar's solo series but I did like him as a guest star with Spider-Man, The Avengers or the FF and thought he had an interesting history. I'm not sure but I think I read that he was killed in one of the recent Annihilation series that Marvel has put out, and there is a female version now? I'm sure one of you can let me know if I have that right or not.
