This is a much better set in the flesh (plastic) than it looks in the pictures, I was undecided when I first saw the pictures but after a bit of debating with myself I decided to buy it and I am very pleased with the set.

Box/Instructions

A nice large box with large pictures of the set front and rear and the various play features are also shown on the rear.

Parts

As you would expect from the pictures the Bat-copter has lots of blue, black and grey with an unusual canopy piece, the combine-harvester has lots of tan and dark brown pieces with some black and trans-neon green thrown in. The tractor has some bright fire engine red pieces

Minifigures

All 5 of the Mini-figures are nice with Blue Beetle and Killer Moth being the stars (in my opinion) and even if you don't collect the Elves or CMF ranges you have to like the abundance of parts that originate in those themes finding their way into other themes, and the wings on Blue Beetle and Killer Moth (both sets are different styles) are a fine example of that. Batman has breathing gear, both a piece between his torso and head and printed on his torso and Scarecrow has the combined hat and hair piece. The farmer has a grubby white vest top and a baseball cap with a frightened expression.

The printing on all the Mini-figures is excellently detailed and well worth digging out a magnifying glass for a closer look.

The build

The tractor is built first and involves a bit more than is suggested by the picture.

The Bat-copter is built a bit differently to other Lego helicopters in order to fit the play features which involve the tail and sides so is a nice change for those used to Batman's various helicopters.

The combine-harvester is an interesting build and the mechanism works very well when moving forwards, not as well in reverse but when do you see a combine-harvester cutting backwards.

The completed model

All the models look good and the 3 contrasting colour schemes work well to differentiate each model while still looking part of the set

Overall opinion

I like it and I am very pleased I decided to get it, the builds are fun and the Mini-figures are excellent.
