The ever growing Lego Train Line

Written by (AFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

I am pretty happy with the train crossing. We get 4 straight track pieces, which is always welcome.

The little excavator is great since it covers my love for all things Lego Construction, and Lego trains. The front and rear track wheels work really well, and are such a great gimmick that is different from all other excavators. It was great that they gave us both, a hook and a shovel for the front.

The crossing itself is simple and straight forward. The crossing arms are something else. They are really well designed and work well. I would love to see a more simplified version of this set with just the crossing, or maybe the crossing with a different vehicle. It would be great to get a few more of these for my city.

Great Troopers for a Great Price

Written by (AFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

This is a really good battle pack. I think the figures in this pack are about the best there have been in any battle pack. The hats they wear really make the characters. Either visors up or down, the figures look good.

I am not familiar with the vehicle though I hear it is from a deleted scene or concept. There are many good pieces that make the vehicle, so they can be used elsewhere if you do not want an army of these little tanks. I am intrigued by the little box in the middle of the vehicle. It has a SNOT plate under it so the box can be removed. There is nothing that suggests what it could be used for.

Overall a great battle pack with a pilot and three troopers. I will have to get me more of these before they are gone forever.

Who doesn't love a Speeder Bike

Written by (AFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

I am really glad we finally get some Hoth battle packs. This one is good. I am a huge, I mean HUGE fan of the speeder bikes, and to get one that is a snow speeder bike is even better. I do wish we would have gotten a snow scout trooper like we did with the 3 3/4 line two pack that came out last year. As ususal, it probably all comes down to money, so I would rather have a second snow trooper.

I am not really excited about the little base of operations with the missle launcher, since the guy is totally unprotected and it just sits out in the middle of nowhere. And how many of these could the Empire really have out there anyway. There are good part on it though, with a really nice looking missile.

If you are gearing up for an assault on Hoth, then this is a good set to get. Probably 10 or so would be best. So far this is my first, but I am definitely going back for more.

What a strange but wonderful SmartCar Fire Version

Written by (AFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

I had to buy this set since I am from the US, and got it with a few other similar small sets. I was not expecting a lot, but was really surprised when I built it.

This set very closely resembles the new SmartCar that came out this year for the City line. It has the small slick tires, and has pretty much just enough room for the fireman.

It does have one great feature though. It has a storage locker in the back for the fire extinguisher. This was a nice surprise as it was not too clear in the original photo.

I am not sure what the use of this vehicle would be, but I guess it could get into small areas or be able to dodge through traffic. Maybe a first responder to a fire scene.

This is definitely the smallest vehicle in the current fire fleet. That even includes the quad bike that comes with the Off-Road Truck (7213). The quad driver sits a whole head taller than the top of this little car.

It is a throwback to the single seat Lego cars of yesteryear, and looks pretty funny with all of the giant Fire vehicles that we have had in the past 5 years, but it is still a great little vehicle, and I am glad I have one to add to my fleet.

  • Fantasti-car

Written by (AFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

This is a little car that is so cute in the scale of the old school Lego sets. This is how all of our cars used to be. Just big enough for a person...though this one also boasts enough room for a briefcase as well.

The little tires are great, giving a bit of a sport look to the car. And for such a low price, it would be easy to amass a small fleet of these things.

I think customization on these would be easy too. It could be like the Scion of the Lego world. Change the black to red, or add details to the body, there are endless possibilities on this one.

The only problem I had with building was getting the driver in the car, but he just needs to sit forward a little with his arms up a little higher than usual.

This is a great vehicle for the money, and has a unique look that will be a great addition to any City set.
