I took a flight from London to Warsaw.
My suitcase was destroyed (3 rd time fly with me). It was not a cabinet baggage, but checked in. I had to do complaint and believed l will receive compensation for my loss. I cant use it as telescopic handle was totally broken and lost whole. I have received a few emails from the company called Dolfi1920 instead .They explained that their technicians said l can fix this in professional shop and they give me money up to 80 euros .later. Is this a joke ???.l have paid 27£ for check in this bag and have received broken almost new bag . They really need to learn how to deal with baggage and people.
Delayed Flight
Delayed Flight, missed the other Planet, i had tò re-buy the ticket with another Company, horribile staff, and they don't give any reason for delayed, give fake information, rude, really awful terrible esperience, keep away from tho Company
Very disappointing experience with LOT…
Very disappointing experience with LOT Polish Airlines traveling from India to Canada. The staff at the India airport were extremely rude and disrespectful. My baggage was only around 0.5 kg over the limit, yet they made a big issue out of it and handled the situation very poorly.
The staff’s attitude was unprofessional and made my journey unnecessarily stressful. Highly disappointed and would not recommend LOT Polish Airlines.
LOT overcharges baggage fees
Be aware, LOT is taking advantage of Senior Citizens by overcharging baggage fees.
Baggage overweight fees are not transparent. There is no clear information on LOT website on this subject. There is no document to be found to verify fees.
Customer service representative mentioned that airline has "Dynamic Fees", proving that LOT baggage overweight fees are not transparent. By the way, I cannot find any mentioning about dynamic fees on LOT website.
For a passenger without cellphone and credit card, with special needs traveling alone, the only option is to pay with cash whatever was asked without oversight and verification.
Partner airline frequent traveller member benefit of fee waivers and additional baggage allowance (extra baggage for Miles & More members is 1 piece of baggage up to 23 kg) was ignored.
Partial or full refund was not offered.
Customer service is rude.
Terrible service
Terrible service, it is a challenge to get an extra luggage - which must be bread and butter of any airlines; terrible staff, terrible people in poland international airport especially the lady at security control. Super rude, unhappy with her life probably, yelling at people around.
An Exceptional Business Class…
An Exceptional Business Class Experience on LOT Polish Airlines — LO41, September 13, 2026
I travel to Europe frequently and choose LOT Polish Airlines whenever possible, particularly because of its convenient Toronto–Warsaw connection. My experience on LO41 on September 13, 2026, once again confirmed why LOT remains my preferred airline.
Although the Business Class experience was exceptional overall, what truly distinguished this flight was the outstanding service provided by CC1 Beata Wolska-Cieplińska,
CC4 Artem Block, and
CC9 Magdalena Jaguś.
Their performance exceeded the high standards expected in Business Class and left a lasting impression.
Each of them was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, courteous, caring, and approachable. Their genuine warmth extended well beyond the delivery of excellent service. They were attentive without being intrusive, professional without seeming distant, and consistently anticipated passengers’ needs. Through their thoughtful interactions, they made passengers feel valued and genuinely cared for throughout the flight.
Their kindness, teamwork, and positive attitude contributed to a calm and welcoming cabin atmosphere. It was evident that they took great pride in representing LOT and were committed to making every passenger’s journey as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their professionalism and sincere hospitality transformed routine service into a truly memorable experience. Having flown Business Class with many airlines, I believe service of this caliber deserves formal recognition. Beata, Artem, and Magdalena are a true credit to LOT Polish Airlines. They elevated an already enjoyable journey into an outstanding experience that I will remember long after the flight. I respectfully request that LOT formally recognize these three crew members through the appropriate customer -service or employee-recognition program. I would also appreciate it if this commendation could be shared with their supervisors and included in their personnel recognition records. Their exceptional service, professionalism, and positive impact on the passenger experience merit specific acknowledgment.
They represented LOT with warmth, dedication, and genuine Polish hospitality. Their conduct exemplified the high standard of service that strengthens customer loyalty and reflects exceptionally well on the airline.
Thank you, Beata, Artem, and Magdalena, for making my journey such a pleasure. Your outstanding service made a lasting impression and reinforced my intention to continue choosing LOT whenever possible.
I look forward to flying with LOT again on my next trip to Europe.
Extremely disappointing baggage damage…
Extremely disappointing baggage damage claim – LOT Polish Airlines
I travelled with LOT Polish Airlines on July 28, 2026. My checked suitcase was damaged during the journey, and the damage was reported and documented at the airport.
After submitting the required documentation and photographs, LOT informed me that the damaged handle could be repaired. They then asked me to find a repair service myself, arrange the repair, pay for it, and send them the invoice for reimbursement. Alternatively, they offered me EUR 40.
I rejected both options.
The suitcase was in very good condition and had only been used once before this journey. I do not believe it is reasonable to expect a passenger to spend their own time and effort finding a repair service and dealing with the consequences of baggage damage that occurred while the suitcase was under the airline’s responsibility.
I requested fair compensation for the damaged suitcase. After several weeks of correspondence, LOT continues to maintain its EUR 40 offer.
What is most disappointing is not only the damage itself, but the way the claim has been handled.
I have the Damage Report, photographs, correspondence with LOT, and their EUR 40 offer documenting the entire case.
I am now escalating the matter through the appropriate consumer channels.
My experience has seriously affected my confidence in LOT’s baggage handling and complaint process.
Think carefully before choosing LOT if reliable baggage handling and effective customer support are important to you.
A BUNCH OF THIEVES
We were a group of 20 people travelling from Bucharest to Baku, with a layover in Warsaw, Flights no. LO642 and no. LO719, August 19, 2026.
My check-in baggage came opened, my padlock missing, as well as several other items from it, packs of cigarette and some necklaces.
We were a group of 20 people, out of which 10 experienced the same outraged feeling as I, having their baggage damaged, opened, and items stolen.
I filled a complain immediately about the incident, but LOT's representatives stated that they we do not have the authority to conduct investigative activities or access airport surveillance recordings.
Dear passengers, my friendly advice, stay away from LOT and from Warsaw airport if you care about your belongings.
Missing Baggage for four days
They lost my baggage that had essential medication as well as lots of frozen food worth $200. I only received the baggage four days later while I was in a country where I did not speak the language. When the baggage was finally returned, it was wet and the clothing inside was moldy. I did not receive any refund from them even though I inquired multiple times.
⭐ Very Disappointing Experience with LOT
⭐ Very Disappointing Experience with LOT Polish Airlines
We travelled from Delhi to Stuttgart via Warsaw on 3 September with our 7-year-old child. Unfortunately, the experience at Delhi Airport was extremely disappointing.
Our baggage was only a few kilograms over the allowance, but instead of allowing us to pay for the actual excess weight or redistribute some items into our hand baggage, we were asked to purchase an additional 23 kg baggage allowance, costing us more than ₹18,000 (€200+).
The handling of our cabin baggage, laptop bag, charger and personal items was also unclear. The ground staff and Duty Officer were very rigid and did not provide a practical solution or clearly explain how the excess weight was calculated.
The situation became extremely stressful for our family, especially as our child had been awake since around 3:00 AM and eventually vomited twice at the airport.
The flight itself was also uncomfortable. Our seats continuously made a loud creaking/"char-char" noise, which was particularly irritating during the long journey.
We understand that airlines have baggage rules, but clear communication, reasonable assistance and good customer service are equally important. Charging more than ₹18,000 for a relatively small amount of excess baggage, without offering a practical alternative, felt disproportionate.
If you are travelling with LOT from Delhi, I strongly recommend checking the baggage rules carefully, especially regarding cabin baggage, laptop bags and personal items.
Overall, a very disappointing experience with LOT. I hope the airline reviews our case and provides a fair resolution.
Delayed flight for the first connecting…
Delayed flight for the first connecting flight. Which meant the next flight was ready to go before we even landed! Then they managed to lose a few of our checked in luggage’s and STILL haven’t found them! My family and 3 or more other families were waiting for ages to find out they were left behind in Poland and never made it to our destination in Sarajevo. AWFUL AIRLINE! And still no ones contacted me back about the update of my suitcases!
No reimbursement for small purchases due to lost luggage
They lost my luggage simply because I had a connecting flight. They said that they'd reimburse me. I had to buy some basic clothing items (not much), but they refused to reimburse me because they claim they notified me that they had found and dispatched my luggage before I made the purchase, but I NEVER received the email or SMS with that notification.
Either their notification service is shit, or they are shit; I dunno, but I'll be avoiding them a lot from now on.
Never again is LOT
I flew business with LOT. I got shouted at, humiliated in front of other passengers, had to pay more, they missed my baggage and ignored all my complaints with a robot answer from their Chatbot. Run away before you buy ticket there. Probably the worse flight company in the world.
My daughter traveled to Turkey via…
My daughter traveled to Turkey via Warsaw Airport and had three gold rings worth around35,000 kronor. At Landvetter, she was told she could check in her carry-on without extra cost, so she packed some additional items but unfortunately forgot to remove the gold rings. When she arrived, the rings were gone from her bag. She reported it to the police in Istanbul. After checking the bag’s route and circumstances, we were told the theft likely did not happen in Turkey. For that reason, it seems most likely that the rings disappeared while the bag was being handled at Warsaw Airport. We contacted the LOT airline, Warsaw Airport, and the police, but no one has taken responsibility or offered any help. It is extremely frustrating to lose valuable belongings while traveling and then to be left without support or compensation. We expected a serious investigation and better customer service. I hope other travelers are extra cautious and never pack valuables in check-in luggage. At the same time, I hope responsible parties take these incidents more seriously and conduct proper investigations when travelers report theft.
Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience – never again
I have never had such a frustrating experience with an airline before. LOT Polish Airlines changed our flights three times, causing a huge amount of stress and inconvenience.
First, they changed the return date from the 19th to the 20th, which meant I had to rearrange and pay for an additional night at the hotel. Then they changed the departure time from Tallinn from around 8:00 AM to 5:45 AM. And now, unbelievably, they have changed the departure date again, from the 5th to the 6th.
Because of all these changes, I have had to rearrange our plans and hotel bookings twice. This is completely unacceptable. On top of that, trying to contact the airline and actually get proper assistance is extremely difficult.
I understand that flight schedules can occasionally change, but changing the same journey again and again with such significant changes to both dates and times shows a complete lack of consideration for passengers and the plans they have already paid for.
I have travelled with many airlines and have never experienced anything this bad.
If you want to have some confidence that you will actually depart and arrive on the dates you booked, I strongly recommend avoiding LOT Polish Airlines. I certainly will not be choosing them again.
What a horrible airline
What a horrible airline, I traveled a lot, but this is by far the worst airline I ever came across. When the confusion came across would buy the seats and baggage a small mistake was made where it didn’t matter but the baggage did they charge me an extra almost $200. Once I contacted them and tried to resolve the issue they pretty much told me to never contact them again because they don’t care. When I asked to speak to somebody a supervisor or a manager, they told me there’s no such thing.
Rude staff
Rude staff. Pathetic behaviour. No even consideration for kids travelling.
LOT Polish Airlines: Worst Airline I've Flown - They lost my baggage twice on one round trip
I want to share a genuine, documented experience with LOT Polish Airlines, because I think other travelers deserve to know this before booking.
On my outbound flight (Barcelona → Warsaw → Keflavík), LOT lost my checked baggage due to an unreasonably tight connection time in Warsaw (35 minutes, which the airline itself scheduled). My bag was left behind in Warsaw and took 3-4 days to be located and delivered, forcing me to buy replacement clothing and essentials out of pocket in one of the most expensive countries in Europe.
On my return flight (Keflavík → Warsaw → Barcelona), the exact same thing happened again - this time with a 1h35 connection, well above any reasonable minimum. There was no excuse of a tight layover this time. The bag simply wasn't transferred.
This isn't bad luck. Two baggage failures on one round trip, on the same carrier, with two different connection times, points to a structural problem with how LOT handles baggage transfer in Warsaw specifically - not a passenger risk issue. I've filed formal complaints (PIR references available on request) and will be pursuing reimbursement through the Montreal Convention for both incidents, as well as escalating to AESA (Spain) if the response is inadequate.
If you're flying LOT through Warsaw, be aware this will happen even with a generous connection window.
We booked a flight to Warsaw from Tokio…
We booked a flight to Warsaw from Tokio which was originally premium economy. Unfortunately because of a family tragedy, we had to leave the country two weeks early and booked a new flight last minute cause there wasnt anything else we could do. My mother has a really bad case of osteoathritis so I tried to transfer the upgrade onto the new flight. The staff at the gate was either rude, didnt know english well or both. We were told that nothing was available despite online reservations being still available for premium economy. Worst traveling experience i have ever had, but i guess if you dont want to pay for the same flight twice in a emergency your just out of luck. I would rather go to hell than ever sitting in this coffin of a plane with staff that show less emotion than my trashcan ever again. I would love to give a 0.
