There was an internet outage during the work day. I have been on hold for 2-3 hours at a time on the phone only to be hung up on twice when someone finally answered before speaking a word. I was o... See more

I was unlucky enough to use this provider.
if you ever need support the only way to speak to someone is to listento elevator music for a minimumof 3 hrs ( not exaggerating). Canceling services was near impossible; outrageous charges for equipment even when was returned.
What a nightmare, id like to call and yell at someone, but I know nobody will answer.
Not recommended
Not recommenced, unless you have a lot of time to lose. There internet never worked, and the clueless persons at the technical support only tell you to unplug and replug the modem, and to reset it (called them numerous times and it was always the same answer). Not to mention that when you press for french service, the system hangs up on you, and that you have to wait hours to talk to a clueless person. Just avoid, you can get the same thing for 20$ more at Bell.
Edit: Ive changed from 1 star to 2 stars, cause the lasy guy I spoke to was able to cancel my subscription rapidly, and gave me a refund. So while I dont think it's a good company, there's definitvely worse than them
My significant other has and is going…
My significant other has and is going through a dispute over equipment requested to be sent back as Vmedia upgraded her equipment. Charged her 380.00 or so, and honestly that equipment is not worth a 100.00 dollars.
Complained about 2 HDMI cables not being there, these when equipment re furbished are thrown out.
Don't think they have a manager there as I asked 5 times.
Worth mentioning She went throw a brutal end to relationship, then major surgery! This company is terrible.
Out right lied to us numerous times.
All I got to say is money better be back in account in two days.
Not Happy
Terrible IPTV
The good part: inexpensive. I have good internet for $29.95, terrible tv for $19 monthly.
I signed up for the tv package when I signed up for the internet. The internet is still OK, but the tv does not work any longer. It worked fine for about two years starting in October 2023, then it died for about a week. After the initial platitudes and getting me to jump through hoops including repeated power cycles and uninstallations/reinstallations of the app, the "service" people finally admitted that the problem was on their end, not mine. It still took them over a week to fix it. I received a small monthly refund for the next three months as compensation.
It was about eight months later that it went down the tubes again, this time without a resolution. Selecting a program from the guide is hit and miss: you may get another program and there is no way to view the one that was selected. Some programs will not load at all, even erroneously, and the user will find the "content unavailable" error message, even though the channel is clearly available and was purchased.
VMedia also touts their seven-day look-back feature, where users can select up to the past seven days of a specific program to view individual episodes. This no longer works at all: users will be lucky to get the previous day's episode, all others will produce "content unavailable."
Their web site advertising is simply false -- or, possibly, worse than false.
Their IPTV does not work correctly, sometimes not at all.
The only acceptable part is the cost, though I will start looking at non-ISP-affiliated tv packages.
Very poor service provided recently
I experience poor internet connectivity, poor customer service, and excessive account charges upon cancellation. I would say the worst of it was them not caring when I stated that my internet service had not work properly for the last 6 weeks. Constant connectivity issues. There was no offer to replace the equipment the appeared to be malfunctioning. Even when I wanted to cancel the service, they were shocked that a 5 year customer was leaving them. What was pretty good all around in the beginning degraded into unusable service.
Came after me after 2 years saying…
Came after me after 2 years saying equipment wasnt returned when it was. The collection company did not contact me about this bill less than 100$ and sent it to collections and messed up my credit as ive been working to rebuild it. I also have emails going back with them 2024 explaining this and they still sent it anyway. 0 stars terrible people
Fine ... as long as you don't need to talk to them.
Most service providers get updated CC info from the CC networks when cards are re-issued with updated EXP dates. VMedia, apparently, does not. When the CC used for my two accounts was updated, VMedia didn't text or call to let me know the payments were being rejected and the CC EXP date needed to be updated, they only emailed one of the two account email addresses and it was the recovery account I don't monitor. For the single unpaid month they closed both my home and office accounts. Closed ... as in, could not simply be turned back on, would require a week+ wait to be set up with new accounts.
Bewildering.
I lost a lot of productivity 1st trying to troubleshoot at my end assuming it was a modem or router problem since there was no signs the accounts were in bad standing ... then more time talking to their horrendous AI tech bots online ... then suffered an hour of the most torturous hold music to speak to a human and find out the accounts had been closed.
I don't get it: they were earning $1500 a year from me for years. Why close accounts rather than text, call or suspend and wait for a call in?
When it was functioning, internet was fine - they're all on the same networks, there's no difference in performance between the ISPs, the big differences are how much trouble it is when you need support or an issue comes up - and that's where VMedia proved to be a disaster.

This has been, by far, the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with any company.
For over a week, I’ve been trying to cancel my plan. I’ve called more than 30 times, and every single time I’m left on hold for 45 minutes at least , an hour, or even over an hour and a half without reaching anyone. The online chat can’t process cancellations, so calling is the only option, but it’s
impossible to get through.
The company did call me back once, but unfortunately it was during a time when I couldn’t answer. Since then, I’ve continued trying every day with no success.
At this point, I still haven’t been able to cancel my service. It shouldn’t take over a week and dozens of phone calls just to close an account.
I am still waiting for someone to provide a solution so I can finally cancel my plan. If anyone from the company actually cares about resolving customer issues, I would appreciate being contacted as soon as possible.
I’m extremely disappointed. A company that makes it this difficult for customers to cancel a service seriously needs to improve its customer support. I will certainly think twice before ever using this company again, and I cannot recommend it based on my experience.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Won’t send the information to send that equipment they’ll send you to collections without doing their due diligence. If you get through on the phone you won’t understand a word said
I meant to do this review a year ago…
I meant to do this review a year ago when I cancelled this service. People, please know when you call VMedia before you're a customer they answer the phone quickly with customer service people who speak English clearly. Once you become a customer, you'll be on hold for half an hour or more & then speak with people whose English is hard to understand. Then you have the issue of not answering your questions & not listening to you. You'll be on the phone minimum 45 minutes once you get to talk to someone about your issue. It's like they get paid more if they keep you on the phone a long time. You'll finally tire of speaking with these morons & hang up. It really is hard to find a company that actually cares about their customers. My advice....stay away from Vmedia.
My brother died
My brother died. The rep insisted that I had to have the 4 digit of the credit card before they would cancel it. So they took another $202 for the month, to a total of $404 for 2 months after he had passed. The second time I started a chat with them. After about 10 minutes, the chat guy said I can't shut off your service on chat, and I will put you on a call back list. That happened well over an hour later. I found this quite disgusting, like someone would call there and make up that someone had died. Greed has no conscience....
VMEDIA is SCAM
VMedia is a SCAM. I cancelled, but they refused to send the information to return their equipment even after numerous calls. Then they contacted a collections agency to collect on the nonreturned equipment. When I called to ask about this, they claim they sent the shipping information but can't provide emails to prove this. Total scam
After two years, they reached out to Collection agency
Terrible customer service.

Customer Service Sucks
We had their Phone Service for about 5 months. It worked really well and the sound quality was excellent. Then we had a phone issue where we could only call out but not receive incoming calls. When I called customer service to get help I provided my phone number and they said there was no such number. I then provided my account number which worked to access my account. Customer service was the worst I ever had to deal with. The phone agents talked so fast I could barely understand them so I went to using chat. Every call/chat I had to repeat everything all over again. On every call I had to do the steps I had done every other time. In total I spoke to an agent at least 8 times, chatted for 6 times. I even went to their Facebook page and complained. I was promised a call back to my cell phone 6 times and never received one call. After having the issue for over a week I finally sent a chat message saying if it wasn’t fixed within 24 hours I was giving someone else my business. Not fixed, no call, email or any contact so I went with a different company.
Since that Quebec company has taken…
Since that Quebec company has taken over, service has gone way downhill
Been with them for about 5 years
Been with them for about 5 years. No real issues until the last 12 months. They don't answer the phone or you get voicemail that sounds like it's based in India. Try to chat - used to be great but now all they have is an automated moron.. Internet used to be reliable now spotty. Could be the Rogers cable they use or could be their servers. TV dies same time every night for a couple of minutes. Impossible to find out why because customer service does not exist.
Have spent over a month without…
Have spent over a month without internet due to a faulty modem (which I pay to rent from VMedia). They refused to replace this modem after sending 2 different Rogers techs to check it out. They said that the tech notes did not say that I needed a new modem, despite the techs telling me in person that the lines were fine and the modem was faulty. No solution was provided. No refund offered.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Set up doesn’t work and then there is not customer support. You just sit on hold for hours. Live chats only do the most basic trouble shooting. Terrible experience.
Supervisor refused to talk to me
"Technician" on the phone refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Guess I'll be refusing to continue this contract. Terrible service in an era where people work from home is unacceptable.
Worst customer service that I've ever…
Worst customer service that I've ever experienced. Canceled my service in early Nov. Expected my refund 6 to 8 weeks. No refund....called at least 8 times and every customer service rep. I spoke to lied to me. Even the ones that called me back supposedly with updates, lied to me. One even had the gaul to tell me it was mailed on Dec 25th and I told her she was lying.
Seriously, these people have to be trained to lie to customers. Horrible service, glad I'm no longer using it.
