Documented Life Week 22~Journal 52 Planner Pages

Roben-Marie Smith
Do you remember a couple weeks ago when I shared how I saved bags to use for painting on? This was the bag from dinner, and all I did was add watered down Gesso on both sides. It was perfect for my background paper to enter my Mandala ...With DecoArt paints it feels like a piece of leather after I add a layer of Mod Podge.
I did lots more layers of DecoArt paint and then cut scrap paper that I had used all my extra paints when I had some left over. Pieces of paper bag and scrap white paper works best for me.
I found this package of stickers in my pile but it had no label~it worked perfect with this weeks project.Don't you love the fun colors of paint I used?

Thanks for popping in this week, always appreciate you visiting.
Do you have any plans for this weekend?

Documented Life Week 21 Planner Page

Roben-Marie Smith
Week 21 Challenge - Add embroidery or embroidery floss to your page - no floss? use thread.
Week 20 Journal 52-  For this week’s prompt, create a page inspired by a book you read. It can be the last book you read or a favorite book. You can paint, draw, doodle, collage – whatever medium you are most comfortable with.
I am so thrilled with how this week turned out. I know I said it last week but I am enjoying the process more and more each week.
Well of course I used some old dictionary paper to keep the layers thin in my book. Making my own book to add messages inside during the week.

I also watered down some gesso and added to both sides of my pages...then I added the graduated sizes together and sewed right down the middle.

So I added both challenges using thread and adding a book!!!
So I finally got to add the rest of my Mother's Day cards to a page-I sewed them in. Also added lots of doodling with my Faber Castell, sealed everything with Ranger seal in Matte. Well of course I used my Mod Podge. Lilypad designs made into stickers.
Thanks for popping in and visiting.
Hope your having a wonderful week!!!

Saturday Mornings Blocks

What do you think these blocks of wood will become? You won't believe what I have made.
I signed up for an online class with one of my favorite artists, she has so many great classes
Yes and Amen Blog  with Junelle...I have taken a few of her classes and always learn so much.
These are a couple of the blocks I made that look like vintage letters.
I used some of my favorite products like Mod Podge, Faber Castell, Americana Deco Art paints.
Let me share a couple steps along the way.

Using old book paper and adding to my blocks...using Mod Podge to attach and seal everything.
Using watered down Gesso to whitewash everything.
Using some of my favorite colors and just laying down some color

adding more color to look some what like greens and flowers.

Using some more old book paper and some Tim Holtz words.
Stop back this week to see how I use my left over paint and book paper to make the extra embellishments on the top of these blocks and to use in my planner and altered art projects.

Thanks for popping in...hope you have a wonderful weekend!
