Eek!

Unity has the challenge up for September and I wanted to make sure I got a card posted. I usually make a project when I see challenges but I forget about posting it till after the challenge is over.
I used the card template as my guide to make a quick Halloween card.
I stamped and fussy cut the ribbon out and pop dotted the dial with the date.
I used my Faber Castell big markers to color the ribbon.
I really like adding stitching it always adds a little extra dimension.

The paper was a two sided design from Authentique "Lustrous" collection.

L.O.V.E...

Today I have a Mixed Media project to share using Susan K Weckesser and some of my favorite products. For the month of September our design team at Susan K Weckesser were asked to share mixed media projects.
Can you believe I made two canvas pieces? I always like to have more then one project when I am playing with new ideas. I can't decide which one I like more.

I used this fabulous Susan K Weckesser Unity stamp set.
This is the one sheet of paper I used for the background and the backside for my large letters.
This is the very large Unity Stamp I used for my canvas
ANG-006-L-O-V-E
Let me share a few steps along the way. This is a 12 x 24 canvas that I covered with Tim Holtz tissue paper.I used scraps of some Susan K Weckesser paper and tore extra from the sheet above.
The large hearts were stamped with Deco-Art Media paint and Crackle paint added to distress.

These hearts were stamped with Memento ink and then distressed with Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink.Next I added the fussy cut hearts to old book pages and tore the shape roughly.
One of our partners at Susan K Weckesser is TCW -The Crafters Workshop, they supplied us with so many Fabulous stencils. The one I used to add dimension to my canvas is called Mini North Star and worked wonderful with Deco -Art modeling paste and Green Gold Media Paint.

If you click on any of the pictures you can get a closer look at the texture and detail.
Let me know if you have any questions and I will get back to you.

I know this has been a long post this time, I just wanted to share as many pictures and angles as I could. Thanks for checking out my project, hope you leave a comment to let me know what you think.

Planner Page Updates Oh Wow!

I can't believe I am so many weeks behind in sharing my planner pages. So I am going to share a couple weeks of past pages.
August 13, 2014 - Week 34 Challenge:  Fill the page with numbers that relate to your week (4 trips to the grocery store etc.)

Week 33: Gratitude

For this week’s prompt, include a gratitude – something you are thankful for on your page.

August 23, 2014 - Week 35 Challenge:  Draw, sketch, paint, doodle a face or cut and alter one from a book or magazine.

Week 34: Alphabetical
For this week’s prompt, incorporate the alphabet into your page in some way. This could be just choosing your favorite letter or practicing your lettering or creating a new alphabet design!

I try to craft every week no matter how busy or stressful my week is going...this planner has been such a blessing and helped me continue to try new things and open my mind to many things. It has also been a great way to write my thoughts and document my daily life.
I will be back on Monday with this weeks planner page.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

One Day At A Time

Do you like to keep track of your weekly appointments and small details? I love to carry a planner and document all the little things. This week I want to share a double page  I made using stamps and paper from Susan K Weckesser products. This reminds me of my daily week in my neighborhood, watching the birds and enjoying the sunshine.

Sing your Song

A Little Bit Washi

Fly Away

Aren't these fun stamps? Let me share some steps along the way to finishing this double layout.

My blank pages- I always add a layer of Gesso to prep them.

 Distress
Our team at Susan K Weckesser were given some wonderful paper from Coredinations Color Core to use and one stack I received was one of my favorite.

I distressed with a sanding block and then used ink around the edges.

I stamped and water colored the images quickly and didn't worry about the lines because I fussy cut them all.

Here are all the pieces added to my pages and some of the details close up.

Did you notice I used one other Susan K Weckesser stamp set? I love using the Stamped Sentiments in my journal pages.
