Spanish Pike. - Just one more day,

Thank goodness for the leap year and the extra day.... Otherwise these would have fallen outside of the February Elizabethan window.

Another unit from the backlog. These have most definitely been kicking around for the best part of a decade. I opted for a mixed unit with Pike to shield the matchlock men from the shambling hordes or to match up against the English.

The Pike are from Foundry's Casting Room range the 2006 - 2012 period when Foundry picked a number of alternative sculptor's that simply don't match the original quality. The shoulders are a little too rounded their arms rather bulky. But they will do.

It's great to finally get these off the paint table and on to the wargames table. They will most certainly be needed in the battles ahead ;-)

I was one matchlock man short, but had a billman hanging around so he will do, especially as I sold off all of the remaining 'odds and sods' that to be honest where not likely to see the paint table.

Now the tough decision for March - will it be Micro-March and a return to Korea to finish up some of the South Korean Armour or Fantasy Third and more dead to combat these fine fellows.

Cheers
