Senior/principal software engineer and architect, 20+ years. I work across Java (my deepest thread), Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript, and I use current tooling and AI coding agents in all of them. I spent about a decade as a lead maintainer of SmartBear's open-source Swagger/OpenAPI Java stack — swagger-core, swagger-parser, swagger-codegen and related projects — as core architect and lead contributor of the swagger-core OpenAPI 3.x line. More recently I've worked at the intersection of APIs and AI, building OpenAPI tooling that AI agents can actually use, with spec-driven, agentic workflows: plan → implement → verify.

I've always done spec-first, API-first engineering. That same discipline is what makes agentic development reliable — so the AI work is a continuation of the API work, not a pivot away from it. I'm also the person who can take an AI-augmented project that has drifted off-track and steer it back.

• Multi-language engineering — Java & the JVM (high-performance backends, library design, release discipline), Python, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• AI-agent engineering — agent skills, multi-provider LLM integration (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Bedrock), evaluation harnesses, "AI-readiness" analysis of APIs, and getting drifting AI-augmented projects back on track.
• Open source — maintainer stewardship: roadmaps, releases, security, community.

• Swagger/OpenAPI Java OSS (SmartBear, ~10 yrs) — core architect and lead contributor of the swagger-core OpenAPI 3.x line (#2 all-time contributor); led the OpenAPI 3.1 / JSON Schema 2020-12 work and the Jakarta migration. These libraries are downloaded millions of times and depended on by projects like OpenAPI Generator, springdoc, and WSO2.
• Jentic — primary engineer of an OpenAPI AI-readiness platform that scores and improves API specs for AI agents (Python). Ideated and architected jentic-openapi-tools, an open-source multi-backend OpenAPI toolkit; set up the import/scoring pipeline behind jentic-public-apis; co-built @jentic/api-scorecard-cli; wrote agent skills and an agent-benchmarking harness.
• ApiDOM — co-architect of ApiDOM, the TypeScript object model for API descriptions; creator and principal architect of its Language Service (validation, linting, completion for OpenAPI/AsyncAPI/Arazzo/JSON Schema).

I'm co-founder of SpecLynx, where — with Vladimír Gorej — we build enterprise-ready API tooling on top of ApiDOM: an OpenAPI editor, a language server, and a CLI for authoring, validating, and managing API specifications.
