Hi there 👋

I am the Chief Product Owner of the NEST project at Roche, as well as a Council Member of the pharmaverse. My work focuses on pharmaceutical data analysis and developing software packages that empower fellow data scientists.

Prior to this, I worked as a Senior Data Scientist and as a Research Associate at the Oxford Big Data Institute and Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics, with my research centering on statistical genomics and malaria parasite genomes.

朱砂目前担任罗氏制药(Roche)NEST项目的首席产品负责人(Chief Product Owner)及核心软件工程师/统计编程分析师,同时也是 Pharmaverse 的理事会成员(Council Member)。他的工作重点是医药数据分析及开发开源软件工具,以赋能更广泛的数据科学家团队。自 2020 年加入罗氏以来,他先后在三个产品研发团队担任技术带头人,主要成就包括:

  • 软件与架构优化: 通过软件开发填补了数据处理软件的空缺,拓展运用在 14 个课题中,实现了数据处理的一致性,并减少了十倍的软件维护工作量;通过云计算改善程序流程架构,将运行时间从 4 小时大幅缩短至半小时。
  • 科研与专利转化: 参与撰写特发性肺纤维化与生物标志物的专利申请书。

卓越奖项:

  • 2021年,带领的高级软件团队在 180 个参选团队中脱颖而出,荣获罗氏产品部最高奖项“卓越突破奖”(14 个获奖团队之一)。
  • 2025年,荣获罗氏中国“啄木鸟计划”创新优胜奖,通过整合多个 AI 软件平台,将翻译和校对的工作周期从六周降为一周,显著提升了效率和质量。

学术与科研背景

在加入罗氏之前,朱砂曾在牛津大学大数据研究所(Big Data Institute)和惠康人类遗传学中心(Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics)担任高级数据科学家及博士后副研究员。他的科研主攻方向为统计基因组学及溯祖模型(Coalescent Theory)在人类种群分布与恶性疟疾疟原虫分型中的应用。

开源贡献与学术交流

朱砂对编程和开源开发充满热情。他先后公开发表了 16 个开源软件包和代码库(支持多种编程语言),并发表了 17 篇学术论文(其中第一作者 10 篇,通讯作者 4 篇)。
