I do work that makes machines talk to IT stuff. Who doesn't like dashboards with real-world data?
I prefer my data on-prem. I prefer my tools open. I prefer not paying any comercial license fees when you can donate to better opensource solutions instead or write a simple Python/Node script that does the job too.
A closet full of compute. Proxmox my fav, a few dozen containers, OPNsense at the edge. SSO, monitoring, reverse proxies as it should be. It has better uptime than I do 😅.
If a technology survives here, it might survive production. If it doesn't, that's what snapshots are for.

- A real-time energy and compressed-air monitor that pulls straight from PLCs to Grafana. No SCADA in the path.
- A CMMS I started on the frontend, took over the backend, optimized the database, and shipped the reports. Now it's waiting for rewrite to new version 🫣
