  • Lesson: validate demand before building. Game devs advertise "fully on-chain" but still run core gameplay on centralized servers.
• Hokum L3 OP Stack Gaming Chain (Sunset, Dec 2023). The first (never hitting the news) gaming-focused OP Stack L3 on Base, using Celestia DA.
  • Achievements: a16z SR003 1st interview.
  • Lesson: avoid building on unsustainable hype. Even if you start early, the trend may fade before you ship.
• AxelarSea (Sunset, Apr 2022). First cross-chain NFT bridge and marketplace on Axelar. Hit 100k+ users in weeks.
  • Achievements: partnered with Axelar, went viral.
  • Lesson: don't build at peak hype, and don't mistake airdrop hunters for real users.
