A learning log of a 25-challenge Python curriculum, worked through by Rishi and Bharath.
The curriculum is in COURSE.md: 25 challenges in 5 levels, from a menu-based calculator to building a mini pytest. Each challenge has a spec in challenges/. Both of us solve it alone, then compare solutions and write up what we learned. ROADMAP.md places this as stage 1 of a longer path from Python to AI engineering by mid-2027.
Early. The scoreboard (last updated 2026-07-24) has three scored submissions: two by Rishi (an accumulator calculator and a contact book) and one by Bharath (a basic calculator). The other challenges are specs only.
Python, plain scripts.
- Type everything out, no copy-pasting.
- Get it working, then make it clean.
- Break things on purpose.
- If stuck for 30 minutes, write pseudocode first.
