Play Gifs from SD card on a ST7735 display with an esp32 microcontroller

Install these libraries through the Arduino IDE Library Manager:
TFT_eSPI - Display driver for ST7735 AnimatedGIF - GIF decoding and playback SD - SD card file system (built-in with ESP32) SPIFFS - Flash file system (built-in with ESP32)
-> make sure User_setup.h and GIFDraw.ino files are included in the sketch -> youll see them listed next to animated_gif_sdcard_spiffs.ino file:
if not, manually add them via Sketch -> Add File
Make sure SD-Card is formatted either FAT16 or FAT32 and has gif file you want to play at root directory. -> /1.gif

I got E (24744) task_wdt: esp_task_wdt_reset(707): task not found? while formatting spiffs... just let it run...
