# osAfrica
**An AI-Native Linux Operating System**
osAfrica is a custom Linux distribution where artificial intelligence is the primary user interface and system brain. Two local AI models run entirely offline � no cloud APIs, no subscriptions, no data leaving your machine.

| **Qwen Coder 14B/30B** | Code intelligence � generation, debugging, review, scripting | ~8-18GB RAM |
Models are auto-selected based on your hardware. Both run locally via [llama.cpp](https://github.com/ggerganov/llama.cpp).

## Quick Start (Development)

# Clone and set up dev environment
git clone https://github.com/Leslie-23/osAfrica.git
cd osAfrica
./scripts/dev-setup.sh
# Download AI models
./inference/models/download-models.sh
# Run the AI shell (no ISO needed)
cd ai-core
pip install -e .
osa-shell
```
