Welcome to my official repository for the Machine Learning & Deep Learning Fellowship. This space tracks my journey from core Python programming concepts to advanced data science practices, machine learning models, and deep learning architectures.
"From Python Theory to Real Practice: How I Stopped Reading and Started Building."
We often learn about
__iter__(),yield, classes, and file handling, nodding along thinking "yeah, I got this." But the real magic happens when you connect the dots to build something functional.
As part of Week 3, I engineered a mini Student Management System to bring advanced Python concepts out of textbooks and into working code.
Instead of relying blindly on standard for loops, I built custom iterator classes using __iter__() and __next__() to understand exactly how Python remembers tracking positions and fetches elements sequentially.
To avoid memory bloat, I implemented generators using the yield keyword and generator expressions. This allows data streaming and manipulation (like filtering even sequences) without filling up the RAM.
Structured the domain logic using clean inheritance models:
Student(Base Class): Manages core properties like name, ID, and basic metrics.GraduateStudent(Derived Class): Extends the base class to handle specialized metrics without code duplication.
To practice professional code modularity, I created a custom local package named student_utils split into focused modules:
arithmetic.py: Handles percentage and grade assignments.attendance.py: Tracks and evaluates attendance percentages.performance.py: Generates custom performance reviews based on cumulative GPA.
Implemented robust read/write streams using Python context managers (with open(...)) to save and load student records automatically to local storage, removing the immediate need for a heavy database setup.
Leveraged the if __name__ == "__main__": paradigm across modules, ensuring every utility and class could be isolated, tested, and debugged independently before system integration.
This repository is organized into distinct weeks and standalone tasks covering the entire fellowship curriculum:
TASK5//TASK6//Task9/... : Focused sub-modules, problem sets, and algorithm implementations.student_utils/: The core utility package for the Student Management System.*.ipynb: Automated research notebooks covering exploratory data analysis (EDA) and experimental model setups created via Google Colab.
