What's new
Home Assistant / MQTT
- MQTT client — connect to a broker (host/port/credentials configurable from both the web UI and the embedded touchscreen Settings screen), with a simple enable/disable toggle.
- Home Assistant auto-discovery — publishes the machine as a single HA device with: temperature/pressure/flow/weight sensors, boiler/water-level binary sensors, brewing/steaming/hot-water status, an operation-mode select entity, active-profile sensor, a tare button, notifications, and live shot-in-progress sensors (weight, target pressure/temp/flow).
Manual brew mode
- New
BREW_MANUALoperation mode: drive pump pressure or flow live, mid-shot, instead of following a fixed profile. - Available on the embedded and on the web UI .
Service & Maintenance
- New Service Log — tracks last descale/backflush dates and shots-since-descale/backflush, surfaced on the Maintenance page.
- Component Test buttons (Pump / Valve / Valve B / LED) added to the web UI's Maintenance page, matching what was already available on the embedded UI.
APIs & docs
- New profile upload/download REST endpoints (
GET/POST /api/profile), matching the web UI's existing Export/Import functionality. - Full REST API, WebSocket, and MQTT protocol documentation (
docs/REST_API.md,docs/WEBSOCKET.md,docs/MQTT.md).
Update flow
- After a successful OTA update and reboot, the device now sends a "System updated successfully!" confirmation once it's back online.
What's fixed
Embedded UI
- Settings screen could dereference stale/uninitialized pointers into lazily-built sub-pages ("settings buffer desync");
- On-screen keyboard was logicswitching between numeric and alphanumeric modes.
FLUSH_AUTOtimeout could silently re-arm indefinitely if a loop iteration stalled past the 5s window.- Embedded styling across the board - remanants from the migration to lvgl 9
Web UI
- OTA "Update All" gave no notification at all on full success.
- Per-component failure notifications were incorrectly styled as info (blue) instead of error (red).
