Iโm a Brazilian ๐ง๐ท oceanographer living in Sweden ๐ธ๐ช studying how the upper ocean mixes and moves! I'm interested in small-scale turbulence, stratification, and the heat and gas exchanges between the ocean and atmosphere. I combine high-resolution observations and modeling tools to better understand fine-scale dynamics in our changing oceans.
I work with autonomous platforms equipped with microstructure sensors, such as Seagliders with Rockland MR1000, to capture turbulence where the ocean meets the atmosphere. From field work to the office, I'm interested in upper-ocean mixing and turbulent processes, near-surface stratification, airโsea interactions, fine-scale ocean dynamics and energy pathways, and vertical transport of heat on short timescales.

I love running and hiking in different places, but I also enjoy a good book with a nice cup of coffee.
