It would be great to have this in the 2.5.0 branch as well. It provides for diffs with many hunks a great performance improvement. |

Discussed in dev meeting: The PR was opened to test patch improvements. Looking at benchmarks, there is no speedup seen on opam usage. It could result on the fact that patch improvements concern large patch files while opam uses a lot of small patch files. Thus, it will part of 2.6. |
