Baimin gives Pi a minimal monochrome interface with focused color for diffs and status.
Install the package from GitHub:
pi install git:github.com/aidenybai/baiminSelect baimin in /settings, then run /reload.
For the intended layout, add these values to ~/.pi/agent/settings.json:
{
"collapseChangelog": true,
"editorPaddingX": 2,
"hideThinkingBlock": true,
"outputPad": 1,
"quietStartup": true,
"theme": "baimin"
}Baimin changes Pi’s presentation:
- Displays prompts and the input editor in shaded panels
- Toggles a Hunk working-tree review with
Ctrl+R - Replaces the header and footer with compact status lines
- Shows an animated Working indicator with elapsed time
- Shows session cost and remaining OpenAI Codex or Claude subscription usage
- Uses white and gray for the interface, with green and red for diffs
Press Ctrl+R to open Hunk, then press Ctrl+R again to return to Pi. You can also run /review.
When you select an openai-codex model, Baimin requests your rate-limit status from OpenAI’s chatgpt.com API. Pi resolves your existing OAuth credential, and Baimin does not store or log it.
When you select an anthropic model, Baimin reads the 5-hour and 7-day usage windows from Anthropic’s response headers. These values appear after Anthropic responds.
