Portable pieces of the current macOS development setup, captured on Apple
silicon. The repository keeps hand-maintained preferences in config/ and
links them into $HOME with a small installer.
- Fish shell configuration, runtime startup snippets, and Fisher plugin list
- Starship prompt
- Git identity, defaults, GitHub CLI credential helper, and global ignores
- Zed settings and keymap
- A Homebrew snapshot of the current command-line tools and apps
Authentication and machine state are intentionally not tracked. That includes
.npmrc, ~/.ssh, ~/.config/gh/hosts.yml, shell history, Fish universal
variables, caches, and application state.
Preview the links first:
./install.sh --dry-runLink the configuration:
./install.shExisting files are moved to ~/.dotfiles-backup/<timestamp>/ before links are
created. To restore Homebrew packages as well:
./install.sh --brewAfter a fresh install, install the Fish plugins listed in fish_plugins:
curl -sL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jorgebucaran/fisher/main/functions/fisher.fish | source
fisher updateThen make Fish the login shell if needed:
grep -qxF /opt/homebrew/bin/fish /etc/shells || echo /opt/homebrew/bin/fish | sudo tee -a /etc/shells
chsh -s /opt/homebrew/bin/fishEach directory below config/ mirrors paths relative to $HOME. Add a new
file there, then add one link call to install.sh.
The package list is a snapshot rather than a lockfile. Refresh it with:
