A self-updating Claude Code skill that meets you in a specific feeling — not a generic "how are you feeling" prompt. You name the feeling, you tell it what actually helps (not what a coach would say), and it builds itself around that.
Built for Code for Creatives. Open source.
A skill for a recurring feeling you have around your work. "I feel behind." "I can't start." "I'm spiraling about one comment." Pick the one most alive and build a skill that meets you there.
The starter interviews you about that specific feeling — what you want in that moment, what doesn't help, what would bring you back. Then it rewrites its own SKILL.md into a real skill that runs that flow when you call it.
It also checks whether it helped. If you say it didn't land, it asks one follow-up and updates itself.
- Create a folder at
~/.claude/skills/reset/ - Save
SKILL.mdfrom this repo into that folder - Start a new Claude Code chat in any directory and type
/reset - Answer the five interview questions
- The starter rewrites itself. Done.
Or paste this into Claude Code and it'll install the file for you:
Create a folder at ~/.claude/skills/reset/ and save the SKILL.md from https://github.com/alexdobrenko/starter-reset into that folder. Then tell me to start a new Claude Code chat and type /reset to run the interview.
After the flow runs, the self-update block asks one question: "Did that land?" If you say no, it asks what would have helped and updates itself to fix it. If you say yes, it does nothing. If you give silence, it does nothing.
You can set whether it asks every time, sometimes, or never during the interview.
